Very true. NATO (I mean the US) has been very careful about material aid and what type of armament to accompany those aid platforms etc. Every item has been carefully considered & assessed with loads of possible outcomes & the most precise order. From the HIMARS to cluster munitions to Javelins and have probably donated a lot in terms of confiscated Soviet/Russian small arms and field equipment like they did for the Mujahadeens in Afghanistan. Same exact considerations back then, but on a much larger scale and more so now.

I was very surprised to see them agree on an M1A1 MBT package, probably because the Leopards are taking a beating and there aren't enough repair & replacement units. But even that, it would be strictly Ukrainians operating the tanks and even by the time the F-16s are in house of course.

But watching Zelensky and Ukraine ask for not only large naval assets but the US Navy actually operating them as escort ships to Ukranian grain cargo ships would be like taking a couple of US Army tank & infantry divisions and sending them into one of those wide-open meat-grinding grass plains. All it would take is one overzealous Russian commander to fire and kill a large contingency of American sailors and the US would be forced into the fight, which is exactly what it has worked very carefully up to this point to avoid being dragged into the conflict as a main fighting participant.

It was even hilarious listening to Biden come out and make some official denial regarding the Wagner mutiny and how the US had nothing to do with it!

I think Russia is also very careful despite the close calls and seemingly careless clashes it has had between its Su-30s and US Reaper drones. I honestly figured there would've been a couple of hits by now, especially the drones as they're gathering much of the battlefield intelligence against the Russians.

Every air asset is valuable for Ukraine offensive. A10s won’t go against fighter jets or fly over enemy dense air defense . From a safe distance over trees or hills they can target Russia helicopters, tanks. trenches, mine fields, infantry. Why hesitant when the Russians use every thing they have in old Soviet stocks.

Yet through all this, the supposed higher GDP russia has gotten its cities attacked and finally Moscow , its citadel, open to limited air attack. Not the mark of a superior power that was supposed to do a 3 day operation.

1. Ruble down 35% over last year
2. Current account balance drop by 93% because of oil revenue hit
3. Profits from oil/gas revenue fell 31%
4. Car sales are an important proxy of economic health. Was 100,000 before the war started, now 1/4th of that.

And this is the best its going to be. Europe, that got 40% of oil/gas from Russia has permanently moved off it. So with war over tomorrow, the economic situation will not change as the new customers for Russian oil/gas will continue to squeeze it and pay less than market rate.

So this suffocation is going pretty well.

For this Putin has captured 20% of a country that it will struggle to hold on to. And turned Baltic into a NATO surrounded lake and now borders NATO in its northern flank, something that never would have occurred. If I had a street performing monkey, he would have made better decision with slightly better outcome on a bad day than what Kremlin did. And unfortunately they humiliated the entire Russian population in the process and upset the balance and status quo of power across the 3 major power holders.

Its hilarious to have Xi talk about declining west. Lets see what has happened under Xi's leadership. This is commentary around Xi's power hunger mifiring and not anti-China:

THen why did Ukraine launch its do-or-die desperate offensive in southern Ukraine when it has no airforce? your point proves that Ukraine's offensive is doomed, is that right?

multiple reasons- no need to rush to lose more lives, lower # of active troops on the battlefield, more entrenched Ukrainian forces (now Ukraine military can be beat up by even 3rd world countries since its so battered and cant exist without NATO support)

This is just a problem for most nations, this is because the U.S. has something called SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) this role is almost non-resistant in Russia and Ukraine in a lot of countries too. Without SEAD fighting a war against large amounts of SAM's will attempting to field a large air force would be almost impossible. We can look back to Operation Desert Storm when America launched many SEAD operations against Iraqi SAM's and pretty much controlled the skies throughout the conflict. Hope this helps you understand Ukraine had to fight for its territory regardless of no air support same goes for the occupying forces fighting hold on

Everyone who knew anything about military operations knew this was going to be slow given the building of Russian forces

Why do you think stuff like the BlitzKrieg of France or the Kharkiv Counter Offensive are such a big deals, complex military operations moving that quick are very rare.

Best no one takes this indian garbage reported news as a news channel Indians are all known as circus clowns when comes to reporting truth & fair balance stuff.
