I think with these drone wars its a matter of time till a net-gun or similar will be standard issue for small infantry groups.

Happens on both sides, bro. Sucks all around TBH.
Probably a lot more on the Ukrainians the way lancets are wreaking havoc.
Russians even make posters & gifs of Ukrainians being hit directly by Russian suicide drones. War sucks, ma man.
This one is even more disturbing. While I think the image on the screen is not what Zelensky is playing on the simulator and was added in as a joke for him simulating Ukrainian drones, it's still an actual still from a lancet drone's direct hit on a Ukrainian commander of that APC while he was dialing his phone and had no clue. Talk about brutal. I saw the footage when it came out about a month + ago, I just can't find it right now. But the pic is obviously pretty clear.
I hope this crap ends soon, the body count for both sides is insane.

Ukraine has now reached the Surovikin line from Verbove running south 6km to the east of Novoprokopivka.
This is what it looks like:
1- Anti tank ditch in front
2- Concrete pyramids in the middle running three deep
3- Infantry trenches behind these. The area is also heavily mined
Ah I assumed you thought Russia could maintain claim on full provinces.
I agree that (depending on how the counteroffensive goes and level of nato support in 2024), russia might get to keep conquered parts.
I do not think ukraine is quick to officiele cede these those. It will be a frozen conflict.
Russia is losing 10 times replenishment rate.
After they are through the soviet stocks…It will only be able to drag the war on with much lower intensity which ukraine can las through.
popularity and finances will start to effect russian war weariness.
What we see now is afghanistan on steroids for russia.
You take your figures from russian propaganda.
I am still seeing masses and masses of russian losses. They are starting to lose the artillery edge.
Ukraine has much higher motivation to outlast a grinding war as well.
Soviets treat written rules as toilet paper.

Again. These are sovereign nations. Not russian pawns. Nato is a defensive structure. Times change….russia need to get its head out of its colonial empire past.
Nonsence. Those joining west saw huge improvements in welfare. Especially joining EU sees billion and billions of euros go to poland and hungary.
Stick with russia? Youll end up like chechnia and belarussia….

Again I am reiterating that the Russians are no angels and this is a proxy war between gangsters. There is no evil and good only interests. It is not conspiracy when you US and his goons(NATO) attacking and destroying sovereign states all around the world right? Russia did not annex anything in Georgia, they helped two ethnic minorities gain territories protected by Russia (lol), any different from what US is doing? Russia US and China are the same, powers protecting their interests. You what world peace, you got to respect boundaries. Even papa USA is not sending in any troops because of the same reason, the bear might have lost some teeth but it still has sharp claws. The dragon is even sneakier, buying time to grow bigger.
The narrative is told by WMSM, how much of it is true? How much was propaganda? An elected official getting booted out by sponsored revolutions, that's the most classic US tactic. Russia seeks to control her sphere of influence, US and NaTO wants to control th3 world. You see the difference. Bad and good, it depends how you view it. The US is a more sophisticated machine, before sending troops, they will use economic and social unrest. They don't attack first, then manufacture propaganda to justify the war. Iraq anyone? Afghanistan?

This war can only get worse. Putin makes it worse. he makes this war of aggression into a war of survival. His deputy, the fanatic Medwedew says either we win or we disappear from the planet. Putin is much a rat in a corner with no way out.

The village was done for weeks ago. Yet russians kept defending every meter and adding reserves, only to eventually having to retreat back in the open during daytime while under cluster munition artillery fire.
The ukranians then did not overcommit or try a breakthrough push into prepared secondary defenses either.
russia did not show a lot of maneuver or defence in depth at all. Instead it has fought hard to defend the forward lines and the first line of defence.
And conducted localised counterattacks on north front.
This is why it has been bleeding losses at an elevated rate. This thread is full of videos/pictures of russian losses and oryx neatly compiled these.

NATO never promised to not expand past East Germany.
The German Unification agreement limited NATO presence in former East Germany. Not in other countries.
The Founding Act of 1997 signed by NATO and Russia explicity stated that all sovereign countries can choose their security arrangements which of course means that anyone can join NATO.
Russia never applied to join NATO, and they fail in every requirement NATO has for people to join.
I do not know why people keep beating this dead horse.
