US and NATO war for profit in Ukraine
Believe it or not that other than US & NATO’s strategic motive of demolishing Russia, the war in Ukraine had other motives also. The US and Europe were able to test their newest weapons in a real war situation. Until now, much of the sales occur on the basis of glossy brochures and political intrigue, but never tested under real war situation. The war in Ukraine was the ultimate test.
The US brought forward its Javelin, Stinger missiles, HIMARS, M777, the newest armored personnel carriers, Patriot missiles, Drones etc. In addition a huge amount of ammunition and replacement missiles were supplied. The Europe not to be left behind brought forward their newest missiles and weapons with Germany supplying their Leopard 2 tanks, the British with Challenger etc., and many other support weapons.
Most of the above went thru their battle test for the first time. Their success here will determine their future sales. This war was an excellent testing ground.
The Russian not to remain behind unleashed all their arsenal, which was hidden or not seen by the outside world.
Besides Kh-101 and Kh-59 weapons, a wide variety of other Russian air launched cruise missiles have been found in Ukraine including Kh-22, Kh-29, Kh-31, Kh-47M2 Kinzhal and 3M14 Kalibr, and tanks including T-80Us, T-72B3s and T-90Ms were used. In a recent report, the Russian Alligator attack helicopter knocked out many Leopard 2 tanks. The Russians had a counter for any West's supply, hence.
The most effective US weapon was Javelin, HIMARS and M777. The Russian used air launched missiles most effectively. These include Kinzhal missile, 9K720 Iskander missile, vacuum and Phosphorus bombs.
The overstated American Patriot missile was less effective and Russian T-90 tanks were easy targets of the Javelin missile. A cheap weapon, the Iranian drone, brought terror to the minds of Ukrainians. It was the most effective drone of the war beating Turkish Bayraktar.
In the end each manufacturer of the weapon was interested to know the effectiveness it’s weapon. They also made a pot full of money supplying them. The 155mm artillery shells fired indiscriminately were in short supply, so the United States began to source supplies from Pakistan.
Let's say the war is over or an armistice is negotiated; the arms makers are in the lead. Their future sales are guaranteed. Meanwhile, the US missed out on the chance to destroy Russia.
