Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

You would think before blowing up the Khakovka dam Russia would have informed its troops, instead hundreds if not thousands of Russian soldiers have drowned in the Kherson region, lot of bodies are washing ashore.

From tsarist, to soviet times til today, Russia has always considered its troops as cannon fodder, things will never change.

Does Putin still pay a Lada for every dead soldier? That’s a lot of Lada’s. Or now just worth a smartphone? Life is cheap in Russia. Under Jelzin’s rule Russian men had one of the fastest death. Putin is making the redux.

History repeats, they pretty much lost a full division back in 1941 when they did the same trick

RUAF 5th, and 35th armies were heavily attrited in the initial offensives, and then they spent last year doing nothing in the south. In November, Ukrainians got 35th HQ, killing a lot of officers again, and they were then moved even further back.

How 5th, and 35th will fight now will be a thing to watch to gauge the quality of newly reconstituted units, and their new officers.

I will be very interested how many majors they got, or they now have lieutenant/captains commanding up to battalion level.
