Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

Without complete air superiority, all armored vehicles are vulnerable ... Now its NATO turn to learn this ...

Russia does not have air superiority over the battlespace either - so there isn't much of a lesson there - the occassional attack helicopter strke we have seen but overall - not anything significant by the Russians.

How long do you want to play this with the Russian??

It take a lot of them to drain the Russian from Bakhmut, eventually you will need to push because it wouldn't matter how many time you defend Bakhmut or any other town, that's net loss, if you were the Ukrainian, you need to go on the offensive and recapture land, otherwise the needle will not change. And the longer you wait, yes, the longer you will be prepared. But then so did the Russian.

They need to launch that offensive on the heel of Russian's own offensive, and seeing the Russian Winter Offensive did lose a chunk of manpower and resource, this is probably the best time to launch that assault.
Ok, lets wait couple of more days if situation will change on battlefield dramaticaly in UAF favor, so far they got stuck and stopped with minefields, choppers and drones with ease which is puzzling for me as they got plenty of tactical air defence systems.

Disagree. Taurida is historically part of Russia and it is a very pro Russia region. Donba is also historically part of Russia. In the 1920s Donba was called the heart of Russia. Taurida and Donba are the most pro Russia parts of former Ukraine.

Welcome back

No, you are wrong. Historically Russia only has the small stripes of lands around Moscow.

The rest belongs to dinosaurs.

It is really too early to tell whether this offensive is effective, you need some time to figure out how the battlefield moulding into. It's still day 3 of this counter offensive, this is still the shaping phase, not the main event yet. It will probably take a month or so to get to the main event.

This is a nationwide offensive, not a local battle it takes time to move and get everything together

Any NATO country can join forces with Ukraine and help them defend ukrainian territory. Do you think Russia would dare to strike NATO territory in retaliation? I dont.
It's a strong possibility, Russia has issued numerous warnings just as it had given to Ukraine. Don't be surprised if they do take on NATO, it's in their planning and will be in coordination with their allies.

The fact that Putin felt the need to insinuate nuclear retalition before invading Ukraine tells us this whole SMO was a bluff. The fact that 15 months later and dozens of “red lines” having been crossed and nothing happend, tells us this nuclear saber rattling by Putins minions was a bluff too.
Putin stated long ago that Russia was in no position to take on NATO in a conventional war. He is not crazy. Its all a masquerade.

The issue is that Ukraine has to go through a bottle neck, in between two bodies of water, just south of a slope that Russia controls (high ground). Not to mention they have to cross a river in between the two bodies of water to go east. The artillery by itself is a serious issue to overcome for Ukraine. This might be a rouse to get Ukraine to send more reinforcements through the choke point. I'm not 100% certain about this but it could be.

In the past Nato has 'fought' people who were hopelessly under equipped with no air support. This is the first time that Nato is fighting an enemy with similar weaponry, or even better.

No more easy victories.

Meanwhile the Russians by blowing the dam have drowned their own troops but no ones care.
