Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

Another thing makes me think that radar is fake is that you see a IRIS-T launcher in the beginning of the video and then the drone moves up the road and "found" that radar, would you deploy that radar system that close to a launcher? Given that particular system has a 120km detection range.
No. You are not supposed to.

The control and launcher areas were separated by a distance of 1,000 to 6,000 yards (roughly 0.5- to 3.5-miles) and were often located within different townships. Technical limitations of the guidance system required the two facilities to be separated by a minimum of 3,000 feet. Whenever possible, control areas were constructed on high ground in order to gain superior radar coverage of the area. Control areas were generally located between the area being defended and the launcher area containing the missiles.

The radar and launcher elements can be deployed over a large area separated by more than 20 kilometres from the FDC, providing extended coverage with few elements. Dispersed elements increase their survivability against enemy air and ground attacks.

If Putin is running short, then Ukraine is out of man. What is Ukraine on now, like the 15th mobilization? Ukraine will lose capability to continue the offensive and will be forced to sue for peace.
Yes both Russia Ukraine running short of men and weapons. However the difference is Ukraine is fighting on its territory while the Russians go into other country. Why Ukraine accepts losing 20 percent of territory I don’t understand? That’s a dream of Russia hooligans and rapists. Ukraine itself won’t survive if losing industrial, manufacturing and access to the seas.

Ukraine has general mobilization there is only one mobilization. Russia meanwhile increases the regular army size to 1.5 million. Then the partial mobilization with 300,000 men. How many phases the Russians went thru since then we don’t know. In reality this Russia partial mobilization has no limit. The number in Putin’s decree is hidden. If I recall Shoigu said Russia can mobilize more than 5 or 10 million men.

That’s not special ops shit or partial war. That’s the total war.

Look at the date of the article. I don't care what you and others discussed. I hardly read what you post here.

Meanwhile, those Ukrainians are taking a beating on the battlefield.

In other words, you live in your own bubble.

You're so content with just making things up that you'd probably be better off just nor coming on PDF.

There was nothing to prevent the EU from taking over its defense from NATO. Nothing. Everything you listed could have been compromised out somehow. When the Soviet Union collapsed, that was when Europe should have began to reform its collective defense posture to minimize, if not remove, the US from the equation. No one could reasonably expect the transition to be overnight or even within a few yrs, but today is 30-something yrs passed and Europe is essentially still under US protection umbrella.

Of course there is. It would require a fundamental change in agreements.
Countries have a veto in such decisions, and it will be applied - because it would violate the Austrian constitution. Most likely also vetoed by Ireland.

NATO is the vehicle for joint defense, and it is only the US that can determine how it fits US strategy. So far, the US is opposing European independence on defense.
The US military is aware of the benefits of NATO at the cost of less than a billion US$ per year.

Putin is spending a billion dollar per year on social media propaganda.
That means there will be people here to spread Russian Propaganda at ($1?) per posting.
The truthfulness of claims does not bother them.

You may end the war then.

We all know this counter offensive is coming, this is not a secret, this is also not a tactical mistake, because that is what they need to do, even if this offensive is expected, you would still need to do this, otherwise as I said, you may as well end the war then.

The important issue here is this is a force that raised specifically for this purpose, so as long as the Ukrainian did not degrade their defensive capability, it would be worth the gamble, you can't retake ground without loses, and as far as I see, the Ukrainian loss is not really that high, traditional estimate you will lose 30% of your force if you are an attacker (again, unless you are an Russian), they won't call off their offensive unless they suffer at least 50% casualty.

This is tough, but this is ground reality.
Or you may play stationary war and bleed out russians until you setup proper military structure which will be able to defeat enemy decisively.
UAF simlply needs more air, armor and artillery assets.

Disagree. Taurida is historically part of Russia and it is a very pro Russia region. Donba is also historically part of Russia. In the 1920s Donba was called the heart of Russia. Taurida and Donba are the most pro Russia parts of former Ukraine.

How long do you want to play this with the Russian??

It take a lot of them to drain the Russian from Bakhmut, eventually you will need to push because it wouldn't matter how many time you defend Bakhmut or any other town, that's net loss, if you were the Ukrainian, you need to go on the offensive and recapture land, otherwise the needle will not change. And the longer you wait, yes, the longer you will be prepared. But then so did the Russian.

They need to launch that offensive on the heel of Russian's own offensive, and seeing the Russian Winter Offensive did lose a chunk of manpower and resource, this is probably the best time to launch that assault.
