Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

But what is the size of these economies and trade flows?

Yuan market share is nothing in comparison to USD market share.

Euro has second largest market share.

People getting over-excited over mundane shifts.
Not at the moment but it poses a challenge.

For the first time, the Russian forces struck the positions of the Ukrainian army in the city of Bakhmut with a high-explosive FAB-500 bomb, as the entire city shook, and the mushroom cloud resulting from the explosion could be seen 20 km away.

The M62 variant of the FAB-500 was used by Russian military forces in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.[8] On 13 March 2022 and 14 May 2022, FAB-500 bombs were found in Ukrainian cities Chernihiv[9] and Odesa.[10]

In March 2023, Russian Su-35s have launched a number of FAB-500M-62, wreckage of which indicates that these have been fitted with a JDAM type kit. Involving pop-out wings and satellite navigation. It's unknown whether it has an internal navigation system. Another theory is that the bomb has been fitted with wings simply to extend its range. It also is believed to give Russian aircraft a stand off ability to hit Ukrainian targets without risking Ukrainian air defences.[11][12][13]

On 4 April, Ukrainian Air Force spokesman, Yurii Ihnat, said of these weapons: "Enemy aircraft are active. The enemy is deploying guided bombs, which can travel dozens of kilometres (up to 70). The enemy deploys 10–15, and up to 20, such bombs each day along the entire line of contact, dropped from Su-35 and Su-34 jets outside the range of our air defence systems. This is a threat to us, and we have to urgently respond to it. For now, we have no equipment that would allow us to effectively respond [to this threat]. In order to push those jets further away from our borders, we need long-range air defence systems like Patriot, as well as, of course, modern multi-purpose fighter jets." He further added that such bombs were "normally not very precise and thus pose a great threat to civilian facilities."[14]

He..most likely wanted to say the FAB-500 M-62 high-explosive bomb for the first time.. They have about 17 variants of FAB-500 type.. very specialized..

No that's Russia, Russia has supplied weapons and equipment to the armed forces of Sudan in exchange for being allowed to build a naval base on the coast and the rebels have been armed by the Wagner Group who did a deal with them in exchange for lucrative gold mining concessions, but don't let the facts get in the way of your anti-Western prejudice.

Even a blind man can see who is behind the unrest in Sudan. But you keep believing the Western side of the story just like the time they told you that Russia blew up Nord Stream or when they told you that Saddam had WMD's :sarcastic:

No hurry
A war lasts 5 years on average.
Some wars 10 years or longer.
The war between France and England was over 100 years.
War between Vietnam and Champa over 1,000 years.
This war will be no exception. That will become very ugly. Neither side wants to negotiate.
Besides, as said time is on Ukraine side. All of Leopards 1 and 2 will arrive end of 2023 and begin of 2024. Ukraine needs at least 4 tank battalions for the offensive.
