I think the Ukrainians should conduct a strategic withdrawal to the Chasiv Yar line or Sloviansk/Kramatorsk. The latter is very heavily fortified for years now. Due to the size of the cities and fortifications I think it’ll be impossible for the Russians to take. Bakhmut is just a symbolic town and not strategically important.

The Ukrainians prefer to kill the Russians out in the cold fields of winter and not in the city.

You are clueless. The Wagner zombies are best paid by Putin. They aren’t cheap. They get more than Russia soldiers in combat. as regular wage they receive $7,000 per month, or $84,000 per year. Half a million wagners will cost Putin $42 billion per year. Not $2 or $4 billion.

For every Ukraine soldier they kill the Wagner get $10,000 as bonus.

Even if Iran does not give any support to Russia. Usa can generate any kind of excuse out of the blue like non existent wmds or similar which was the norm in 2000s and early 2010s. Especially if trump is reelected next year and Russia is economically etc. left alone by Iran Russia would possibly stay silent as well for future Usa attacks against Iran. It is easy to bend the rules here and there to fit any kind of aim amd we saw that before.

Iran should get the technology of Tor M1-Pantsyr from Russia. Especially shooting on the move radar technology. Although vulnurable cruise missile attack and harm option is limited than stationary options like patriot hawk etc. Also other options to improve its defence. Also if Iranian support and influence stops crimea nuclear option as well as stops possible Russian large scale offensive making Russia open to ceasefire negotiation options then eventually Ukraine side can return to negotiations as well.

Other than that Geran 2 is built in Russia they somehow copied heron or shaheed. It is not a big deal to get specs info and copy for a prop drone China also has similar systems and expert at building copies of these by getting basic info about them especially in case of drones maybe China supported by giving know how to Russia to build Geran 2. Lancet is also built in Russia but even if it is co produced in another country (drone production line raw materials metals etc from host country and chips from Russia or Russian bought from Chinese) for example it is impossible to trace it back to where it is produced other than Russia. Same as orlan and orion drones of Russian orign. Same as atgms like Kornet. Chips from China. Big money is for the Wagners. Volunteers, mobis, contractors get less. About 2x or 3x of national wage or $2,500 per month on average when serving at the front. In addition they get signing bonus, death bonus, wounded bonus.
That costs money. Putin will allocate majority of national budget if he sends let’s assume for the incoming major offensives 500,000 soldiers to Ukraine.

HIMARS with GLSDB launch would be almost like air support since they cover all Russian occupied territory except Crimea as JDAM alternative for now...

Maybe, but most likely they will work with concentrate 155 fire and then role thru and advance,

It cannot beat the flexibility of air power tho, if they were to do it, they would probably do it in a smaller scale.

Not to mention able to provide the parts provided from the Sierra depot like gun barrels to tracks to roadwheels, etc.

Yeah, part will always be the issue. I don't know how are they going to do it, they need a spare parts warehouse, but it's hard to make one if you are just talking about 31 tanks.

Shipping them all the way from California probably is not a feasible option.

That is surprising. Guess it would be cheaper and less time consuming than having to convert U.S. own tanks to non DU armor version.


Best alternative for F-16s for now.

This is a very dangerous missile/bomb.. it is very small and very difficult to detect when dropping down it is completely stealth.. it can be of great danger to supply lines and weapon depots..
