March 10 (Reuters) - China has refused to supply Russian airlines with aircraft parts, an official at Russia's aviation authority was quoted by Russian news agencies as saying on Thursday, after Boeing (BA.N) and Airbus (AIR.PA) halted supply of components.

Russia's aviation sector is being squeezed by Western sanctions over the invasion of Ukraine, with Russia's foreign ministry warning this week that the safety of Russian passenger flights was under threat. read more

Agencies including Interfax quoted Valery Kudinov, a Rosaviatsia official responsible for maintaining airplane airworthiness, as saying that Russia would look for opportunities to source parts from countries including Turkey and India after a failed attempt to obtain them from China.

He also said Russian companies were registering their planes, many of which had been registered abroad, in Russia after the U.S. and European Union sanctions on aviation and that he expects some others to be returned to leasing companies.

Separately, a draft law published on Thursday showed the Russian government plans to order domestic airlines to pay for leased aircraft in roubles and could bar them from returning planes to foreign companies if leases are cancelled.

I’m guessing, Chinese are now limited in how and where they can assist help Russia as an alternative supply parts to Moscow. Because West’s wide range bans with sanctions against any states or companies doing business with Moscow face total ban and expulsion from world trade organisation. Caught everyone by surprise how tough west responses have been

Since when Boeing and airbus is Chinese?
More like a fake news to spread hate against Chinese. Firstly those are US companies and secondly Russians would not have come openly so soon and thirdly sanctions just started and in few days now all of a sudden Russians can't fly their airliners. Next I am going to hear that Russians have got no pilots as they are all captured by the Ukrainians. :P

This disinformation war or psyop launched by the US and allies is intensifying.
IMO they are terrifying as they distorted the facts and words are taken out of context.

But in the age of the internet, USA can't concealed all the facts by simply pressuring search engines like Google, etc.

This war in Ukraine revealed a lot of things to us as to how widespread the US propaganda network is.

But don't underestimate the opponents, they are not sleeping.

Make sure those companies are certified by the manufacturers. :enjoy:
There are many African countries which want to make money out of this business.

China has contracts with Boeing and Airbus, it may/may not be convenient for China to sell parts to Russia directly, but with a 3rd party involved, issue resolved.

Just like Iran sanctions, China has many workarounds. Can China buy oil, sell weapons to Iran directly, yes. But China chose workaround, so that US can claim victory, while Iran get what they wanted.

Same thing here. China will help Russia to get what Russia needed.

China can't supply parts from Air Bus and Boeing because of obvious reason.

You really do not know what you are talking about, do you?

The issue is not about bypassing the US government or sanctions. It is about remanufactured/reconditioned AIRCRAFT parts. You said 'second hand parts', remember? If a remanufactured/reconditioned fail in flight, you got about 30,000 ft to make your peace with God, if you so believe. So yeah...Go try those African aviation scrap yards for parts.
