If the Chinese high Speed rail network extended to Vladivostok, it could be hub for cruise ships, similar to how tourists in America take a cruise to see Alaska.

The natural beauty of this city, coupled with the possibilities of going up the coast to the natural beauty of the Russian Far East wilderness and small towns, and continuing to Japanese cities in Western Japan, could be very attractive to Russian, Chinese and international tourists.
