What's new

Role reversal: India offers US fighter jet trainer in 1st major defence sales pitch

It easier to modify it for Navy rather than buy whole new LIFT for USN
And what are you trying to prove that you're stupid USN doesn't USE ski jump and arrested landing carriers so you have further modify your NLCA for USN that's nullify its advantage over other competitors and do research before you bark here
No it doesn’t require modifications yaar. You just need to use it with catapult whatever USN uses nothing more is to be done. Americans in past have used Ski Jump Harriers with Catapults without upgradation so it doesn’t mean much rather it still is an advantage as making a carrier borne aircraft requires lot of changes and time, its not little changes that can make it carrier borne, you need advanced landing gears, you need a hook for arrested recovery, you need flight data of numerous tests etc etc.
I already told you that you have all bogus points in your post number 182, you have no LOGIC and commonsense in that post im sorry to say retard

The main question is that who is the main customer of NLCA USN or IN please tell us
We are offering LCA LIFT to USN while NLCA is just a tech demonstrator for the upcoming TEDBF aircraft. It requires years of testing then it makes a carrier borne aircraft and the other competitors don’t have such as of now hence there are chances of it to win.

It is our indigenous effort, you don’t have one so it is useless comparing Tejas with JF-17.
Wow another retard post by you can i list how many foreign components your MAHAN Vedic out of this universe junk tej@$$ has
AND THIS IS NOT YOUR INDIGENOUS EFFORT BUT THANKS TO WEST TO DEVELOPING AND DESIGNING YOUR MAHAN VEDIC TEJ@$$

If the LCA is ' indigenous' - then i'm George Clooney...

You will obviously call it designed by the west coz you can’t accept the fact that the design was made in-house inside ADA facility. It still has 70% indigenous components which will increase in MK1A and subsequently in MK2/MWF. If JF17 is Sino-Pak aircraft then why does it have a Russian engine, a Russian 23mm cannon and why European avionics?

Which bit is indigenous

Engine?
Weapons
Airframe Design?

Just what the hell is indegenous...younindian don't even know what indegenous means.

No western country has an indegenous weapons platform. All work in collaboration but Indian....you poop in the opne and talk shyte all day

US will allow Tejas in competition for transparency purposes. But even assuming it has no deficiencies and does as advertised. Judging by US efforts in commonality to reduce operating costs T-7 will likely be selected when there is a competition for US Marines and Navy. HAL knows this too but hoping for bragging rights for participation.

If it is so good why are you buy Rafael?

Difference is we acknowledge its a partnership/ Joint project, we dont claim JF-17 is solely Pakistan product. We've raised our production stake to 58% components now.

SKI JUMP CARRIER ARE NOT NEEDED TO HAVE CATAPULT WHICH NLCA HAVE A STANDARD LANDING GEAR BUT IF YOU WANT NLCA ON CATAPULT CARRIERS YOU NEED TO STRENGTHEN ITS LANDING GEARS AND FRONT FUSELAGE FURTHER BECAUSE EXTRA STRESS ON LANDING GEARS AND ON FRONT FUSELAGE

I ALREADY TOLD YOU DO RESEARCH BEFORE YOU TROLL HERE BASELESSLY

SAAB Gripen has less than 15% of components made in sweden then why is it called a swedish aircraft? Outsourcing components is nothing bad. The American C-130’s 70-80% components are made in Hyderabad facility still its called an American aircraft, F/A-18E Super Hornet’s Gun Bay doors are made in India, AH-64E Apache’s Fuselage is made in Hyderabad in India, The standard issue assault rifle of UAE, CAR-816’s 25% parts are imported from India yet its called an Emirati product. The USAF’s T-7A aircraft’s program has awarded an Indian firm for components, India’s Dynamatic has been awarded a contract for the delivery of tools for the Static and Fatigue Testing of the control surfaces of the Boeing-Saab T-7A Red Hawk Program.

Every thing can’t be made in house so you still need importing some parts.

Yes you can't make everything yourself, do you get your hypocrisy on calling out our joint project now?

By the way Saab acknowledges their jet is a EU JV.

I wonder how you are going to get these components when you are in a war with China or even Pakistan. The reason why Sweden can do this is because it is part of NATO and if it is in war with say Russia, all other NATO countries (including all suppliers of the Gripen) will too be in war. If India was in war, I highly doubt even the US would be super willing to supply it these critical parts out of neutrality. Even if there are supplies, they will be considerably less than during peacetime. Either way, the LCA are flying coffins so it doesn't really matter to be honest. The bigger problem is no one is gonna replace India's massive aircraft losses during wartime ... do you really think France will jeopardize their relations with China by sending Rafale spares?
