Release more funds for Delhi's development: Arvind Kejriwal to Centre

I am no-one's bhagat...we have talked few times so better keep that in mind next time you quote me...

Did i mention any specific activity here?? However a party who was supposedly be clean failed to adhere to its principles that it was championing....go and explain your selective logic to people who supported AAP...i have nothing to do with all this drama...All i am interested is in the economic vision and so far my impression about their vision is zilch...having said that i will love to see them successful because Delhi's success lies in there's....

Oh great 'being clean and uncorrupt' means allowing people who are hurting the cause of the party to remain in the party? He says 'vote for Kiran Bedi' during elections and should be allowed to stay? This is not 'honesty' this is stupidity, and naivety. If they had not booted out the bhushans, then we would have had definite evidence that this is a banana party. In one letter he told Keriwal, exact words- 'you are a useless fellow, resign from your job and let YV take over as convenor'. So there is no 'party democracy' because the convener is not resigning on the whim of one man?

And who are these critics of Delhi economic vision? People from Canada and Britain and west Bengal? You decided to speak on behalf of Delhi? They seem to have no problems. AAP cracked down on PDS pilfering, extortionary school fees, Swine Flu epidemic and a million other things. What do you know about any of this? Close to 1.5 lakh pensions were pending for YEARS. Within the first 30 days they cleared out close to half of it, the rest will be done in 2 months. They relaunched the anti-corruption helpline and recorded more than 26000 calls in 72 hours. I can assure you, if the elections were held in Delhi today, BJP will be taken to the cleaners AGAIN. What any 'outsider' with an agenda wants to say is irrelevant on ground.

People have short memories. Their internal skirmishes won't make much of a difference as long as governance is good

I have been ignoring this given i have no interest in the internal drama but since you are pushing for it then here are the points...

a) I have no issues as to who they keep and who they show the door and why...The point is how?? The way they have been shown the door is sheer hypocrisy to all the high moral ground they championed....Also it is strange that pillars of Anna's movement like Kiran Bedi, Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan, Prof Anand Kumar - all are people with vested interest with one clean being Kejriwal...
b) The way Admiral Ramdas have been told about how his tenure was over, was another marvel that was out there for mortals like me...Funny part was poor chap had no clue about it :))

AAP infighting: Admiral Ramdas questions party's claim that his tenure had ended | Latest News & Updates at Daily News & Analysis
c) Lastly they had been crying from roof since 2013 elections about how BJP is doing horse trading and yet after Lok Sabha elections debacle and out of sheer desperation they had no problems in trying to woo the same corrupt congressmen...As a party which is out here to clean politics and have nothing to do with power, that try was a gem as well...

Now once again...i have no problems with all of the above because i don't treat them as some god send people...they are a party, deserved a chance and should be rated on pure performance...

And who are these critics of Delhi economic vision? People from Canada and Britain and west Bengal? You decided to speak on behalf of Delhi?
If you can decide to speak on behalf of Delhi then I can certainly do so as well...so keep this stupid logic out of discussion for good. It is India's capital we are talking about and nobody is an outsider here...b/w you have no clue about my connection with delhi so better keep your advice to yourself...

Though i am itching to challenge these tall claims yet I will not as i don't have time to waste just to prove a point.....however just one point - in case you have a kid then good luck getting her to a decent school without paying that extortion money....Anyhow just because they did all the above that proves they have great grand economic vision?? When you have something substantial on infra development, job creation, skill development then talk to me...

People have short memories. Their internal skirmishes won't make much of a difference as long as governance is good
Absolutely...this is what i am saying...i don't give two hoots about it, however some people were of the opinion that they are some god send people...they are certainly hurt which is understandable...however i strongly believe they should be strictly rated on governance...

Again, no long winded explanations. Bhushans and Yadav had to go. They had been acting kooky for a long time. Ramdas's exit as Lokpal was done for the simple reason that he was too close to the Bhushans and there was a risk that he would mount a challenge to that decision. It is tragic but it happens. The price of not removing him would have been a rebellion from the highest ranks and the infighting would have gone on till this day. They had to be removed, they were removed and now life can go on. You wanna harp hypocritically on things that you would endorse in all other parties, good for you and your wish.

If there is one hypocrite here then it is you otherwise show me one post in 3600+ messages where i have endorsed any party in such a case....obviously you can't give point by point answer and don't bother i was not expecting either...though it is good that you acknowledge sacking an honest person who was supposedly AAP's lokpal to avoid any more internal party rebellion.... that was gem of a decision...so good luck with that!!

Obviously you're silly. You're saying that AAP should harbor dissenters. Then political debates aren't the thing for you. And yes, removing Ramdas to prevent further rebellion was the right decision Already the image of AAP had taken an enormous battering (evidenced by your own statements). Letting that continue into a full fledged war would have only led to disaster. I have respect for the man and I believe that there is some talk of bringing him back in at a later date. But for now he need of the hour is complete unity and focus on governance. No one can deny that is needed to ensure the credibility of the party. Some tough and difficult decisions needed to be taken. Better that they are taken than allow the situation to continue and see the party fall apart.

PS- They were trying to break the congress party. Which is a good thing. This is politics and not some nanny game.

If this is what you get from my quotes then probably any kind of debates is not a thing for you...When clearly said, that it not why and whom they fire, it is about how they fire yet you can come up with something above is a marvel on its own....

Yes, firing your own Lokpal who is supposedly above all is a good thing...this is the same cause they were championing right?? They wanted to give absolute power to Lokpal and went on for dharnas, fast etc etc...yup marvel of a decision...I agree...Even if i go with your "why" part(which IMO is pure crap) "how" part is still a blot....Also one question when he is close to Bhushans and YY's and very well knew that they are power hungry corrupt backstabbers then not sure why you still want such a moron to be back.??

Good. Finally some honesty...agreed this is politics and not some nanny game...tell it your leaders then...because Swaraj, Inner Party Democracy, Lokpal, clean politics, nothing to do with power, clean candidates, nothing to do with corrupt people etc etc...is all what they keep parroting all the time...
On a sad note - Remember this is just the start of political life for them...it they keep on deserting principles which was supposedly their core ideology and keep giving importance to only winning then all i can say is we have another congress/bjp in the making...

I;m sorry your comments are complete BS. When 3 people are kicking up rebellion then booting them out is 'against swaraj'? What a silly and stupid statement. When they don't share the vision for your party, when they are bringing the whole machinery to complete halt and stop real governance from taking place they should be allowed to stay? And what is so wrong about 'how they were fired'? They had already brought government to a grinding halt, so they needed to be shown the door one way or the other. What do you want? Talk pleasantries to them for weeks until they completely destroy the party? And this is against inner party democracy how? Aganst clean politics how? Harboring rebels and spoonfeeding them is the benchmark for these?

You sadness is not noted. You're expectations are STUPID.

Delhi gives more taxes than it uses and subsidized other states. Whether it gets a good share is a legitimate debate that any city or state can have.
The money given back to any state is based on the planning commission formula - using Gadgil formula.

That is how it has to work because the Center has to develop States that earn very little revenue or are based in areas not conducive to development.

So Maharashtra will get far less than what it pays for taxes while Bihar will get more.

And because Delhi is a city, the revenue it generates will be higher and its return lower because cities anywhere are outlets of money generated from other areas.

I see nothing wrong here.

The bottomline is - Kejriwal knew the budget before he made the promises. He did not say "IF center gives me money, I will provide you xyz".

He made an absolute statement on his promises. I expect him to keep that promise and not give excuses about Center. I will not judge him before his final year.

Center is rich, there shouldn't be any problem :enjoy:
The Center also has many responsibilities, not the least of which is supporting backward regions like Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha.

This simply shows either you are purposefully ignoring my points or suffering from comprehension skills...Now don't expect a reply back if once more you quoted me wrong...I have said hundred times, i have no problems in whom they fire and why they fire...for god sake put that in your head before hitting that reply button once more....

Ahh...finally someone wakes up...Well if this is your response to "how" part then it means you have no idea about Swaraj, Inner Party Democracy - The way they were fired is completely against the said party principles...No need to talk pleasantries however they should have been given a proper chance as per party constitution, their guilt proven as per the norms and then fired....firing them the way AAP did and then firing the lokpal definitely give boost to Swaraj, Inner Party Democracy and everything else...
I think in your mind Clean politics means come to power irrespective of the route...that's why you have no problems in AAP getting support of same congressmen who are corrupt to core...so now i understand that part...kudos!!

You sadness is not noted. You're expectations are STUPID.
of-course my expectations are stupid...however they were raised by your own leaders...they definitely made a fool out of lot of people so no surprises there...and plz don't bother about my sadness, it is not worth responding!!
