Release more funds for Delhi's development: Arvind Kejriwal to Centre

this thread has some worshipers of money... fools, what will you do when money system is removed??

if you don't spend money on people's welfare, what will you spend on??

So far the Aaptards have ranted, raved, insulted and deflected.

What you have not done is say why we have to give you extra money to fulfill your election promises. Shiela Dixit never asked the center to bail her out nor any of the other chief ministers. A lot of the Delhi services are paid for by the Center.

Cities never get back all the taxes it pays, take a look at how much New York or London pays in taxes and what portion of that is spent in the city itself.

Your commie Demi god is a liar and a crook !

Swearing is no substitute for argument Sirjee. :cheesy:

Do you call this guy a Bakht as well ?

Why I Want AAP to Return My Blue WagonR
(Kundan Sharma was a volunteer with the Aam Aadmi Party. In 2013, he donated a blue WagonR car to AAP, which was used extensively by Arvind Kejriwal during his first stint as Delhi Chief Minister. He is an MTech gold medalist from Anna University and works with an investment bank in Delhi.)

Yes, I have asked the Aam Aadmi Party to return my blue WagonR, along with a motorcycle and the various donations my wife, Shraddha, and I have made to the party so far. I really do not need any of these back, but I have used the blue WagonR as a tool to express my disappointment because Arvind Kejriwal is not listening. He is becoming arrogant.

I used to believe in Arvind Kejriwal. Today, I will not trust him. I will think about whether what he says is true or not. I had not come to AAP to form an alternate government in Delhi. I had come for an alternate politics - cleaner politics.

It is not just on the basis of the events of the past few weeks that I made my decision to distance myself from AAP. When I had raised an objection against fielding a tainted candidate in the recent Delhi election, no action was taken. Time and again, I tried getting in touch with Kejriwal to express my disappointment. I e-mailed him. I wrote him. I tried to call him. I received no response. That's why I have raised it in the public domain.

People are trolling me and my wife on Twitter and calling us names. I am being called an AVAM (Aam Aadmi Volunteer Action Manch) agent. I am being accused of being a publicity seeker. I never wanted a ticket from AAP or Kejriwal. I am a software guy. I have never wanted a career in politics.

I am shaken. The bigger dream of cleaner politics, which had drawn thousands of us, now stands shattered. I am not able to look my father in the eye; he had donated a third of his pension to the Aam Aadmi Party.

Even if AAP does return my car, my bike and my money, I will donate them to an NGO.

I spoke with Arvind Kejriwal on January 1, 2013, and offered the blue WagonR. I did so because it was something that the common man could relate with and it would give Kejriwal a common man's outlook as Chief Minister. He told me he would have to issue a donation certificate, and that a valuation of the car would have to be done. I told him none of that would be necessary, and that he could just go ahead with the formalities to transfer the ownership to the Aam Aadmi Party. The process took eight months.

I have two specific questions for the AAP leadership:

1. Arvind Kejriwal said that he accepted all the demands of Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan. Which means that the demands were legitimate? So shouldn't people with legitimate demands be respected in the party rather than showing them the exit gate?

2. For each and every allegation, AAP had a standard reply - that it was probed by the internal Lokpal. But for the conspiracy allegations against Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, Kejriwal preferred to be the Lokpal, sacking his own Lokpal?

I cannot comment on whether Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan were right. I am not the judge of that. But they asked the right questions and they were shown the door. I am disgusted that some MLAs were harassing Shanti Bhushan and attempted to remove him from a meeting.

I have this to say to Arvind Kejriwal: take action against Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan in public. But do it only after you have proof of the wrongdoing you are accusing them of. Do not throw anyone out because they disagreed. You cannot be right all the time, nobody can.

Many have asked me if I would support Yogendra Yadav or Prashant Bhushan if they launch a party. My answer is, I wouldn't. Not because it has anything to do with them. As I said, I did not come here to form an alternate government in Delhi. I came here for alternate politics. And my dream stands shattered.

All of these politicians are the same, there is no difference. I have just lost all my faith in politics.:toast_sign:

This is what I always said from the very beginning, these people are now learning it the hard way.

And then there are some people who never learn. @Guynextdoor2

No
its just Khejriwal being the certified chvtiya that he is.

Center is directly funding several key infrastructure projects in Delhi, including the Delhi metro which alone cost 3500 crore a year
center is also responsible for Law and order , as well as affordable housing via DDA
which is fine, however i was more interested in numbers that Delhi get's from center. If you know please share the number.

Not sure what you mean here...care to elaborate??
if you don't spend money on people's welfare, what will you spend on??
A govt has to be a welfare society, however for a welfare society to work it also needs economic prudence. You can't just spend spend without worrying about how to finance those spending...and thus focus has to be there on revenue generation as well...no??

'Oh I want my Wagon R back, so Arvind Kejriwal shold not be Delhi CM'. Bhakt Logic.
Nopes and no-one can't do jack about it...he is going to stay CM for 5 years...i think the point is disappointment that people have given the filth that has been shown courtesy the so called internal power politics for over a month and some yet to come....

Come on, the fun hasn't even started. The moron has money to give to farmers that Delhi doesn't have but asks for money from center regarding things that Delhi actually requires.

this thread has some worshipers of money... fools, what will you do when money system is removed??

if you don't spend money on people's welfare, what will you spend on??

Your ilk has been babbling about this for centuries, first come close to removing the monetary system and then ask this question.

Right now, its entirely redundant.

People should look after their own welfare, its not my job to feed those who can't feed themselves. Give up your internet connection and your house and feed the poor if you are so interested in 'welfare'.

which is fine, however i was more interested in numbers that Delhi get's from center. If you know please share the number.

This should clarify things: Delhi Govt. presents Rs.37,750 crore budget

Presenting the budget at a specially convened two-day session at the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also holds the finance portfolio, said the budget included Rs.15,350 crore for plan expenditure, Rs. 21,500 crore for non-plan expenditure and Rs. 900 crore for Central Government-sponsored schemes.

“The proposed total expenditure will be financed mainly from our own tax revenue to the extent of Rs. 32,641 crore, Rs. 1,327 crore from non-tax revenue, Rs. 681 crore from capital receipts and Rs. 900 crore from small savings loan. It also includes Rs. 325 crore as Delhi’s share in central taxes and Rs. 395 crore as normal central assistance and Rs. 900 crore as centrally sponsored schemes,” Mr. Sisodia said.

The 325 crore is only Delhi's share in devolution of central taxes among states which is calculated by taking into consideration many factors such as income disparity, population and population growth etc. You can search for details on the net, it was Reddy formula if I am not mistaken.

As usual, Kejru playing fast and loose with facts representing only a small share of total central contribution to Delhi, which itself has little to take care of compared to a full fledged state.

Thanks, so here is the expert...

It also includes Rs. 325 crore as Delhi’s share in central taxes and Rs. 395 crore as normal central assistance and Rs. 900 crore as centrally sponsored schemes
It does says that Delhi's Tax share from center is 325 crore...to me it looks to be really low, however not sure what formulae is applied here...Also Modi govt has increased state's share....does this amount reflect that??

EDIT - Ignore...you have already explained... thanks

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief MinisterArvind Kejriwal today pressed the Centre to release more funds for the city's development and said that the "paltry" tax share it receives currently was not sufficient.
Huh? When this Muffler Man misuses this 'paltry' tax money to fund his freebie schemes, he now has the gumption to make up for this disaster by demanding more funds from the Center? Oh wow! That's the new Aaptard paradigm for 'good governance'!! :P

So your recommendation is that the senior bhushan who said during Delhi elections that 'Kiran Bedi is best CM candidate' should be allowed to stay? If he had criticized Kejriwal, that was fine he actually asked people to vote for Bedi. Other Bhakt who talk about 'disappointing' people with 'no democracy', let them first show me a minister like ARun Jaitley asking for people to vote for Rahul Gandhi instead of Modi and survive it. If Bhushan thinks so strongly about voting for Bedi, then BJP was the place for him, not AAP. This is stupid logic that BJP supporters have pulled out of their @$$.

I am no-one's bhagat...we have talked few times so better keep that in mind next time you quote me...

Did i mention any specific activity here?? However a party who was supposedly be clean failed to adhere to its principles that it was championing....go and explain your selective logic to people who supported AAP...i have nothing to do with all this drama...All i am interested is in the economic vision and so far my impression about their vision is zilch...having said that i will love to see them successful because Delhi's success lies in there's....
