Rebellious officers move to end Indian hegemony in Bangladesh

. . . .
OK, dear Indian forum readers I think you all need to understand us Bangladeshis a bit more, so I will try to put as simple as I can.

1. Bangladesh has at least 10 % Hindu population, now we Bangladeshi's aren't as hung up about religion as you all seem to be, Hindu, Christian, Muslim or Buddhist it's all the same to us, they are Bangladeshi's, period.

2. We don't hate Indians, just that we don't trust India, there is open knowledge about how close the AL government and Hasina in particular is to India, so you see when people say Hasina is a Indian stooge where they are comming from. Currently all her policies have been very pro Indian, even when they seem to be at the expense of Bangladeshi interests.

3. AL didn't win the election with 3/4 of the vote as most Indians falsely believe, this country is run on the first past the post system, so say there are say 100 voting region with each electing 1 MP, and say in all of them the AL got 51% of the vote and the BNP candidate got 49% of the vote. T he AL would have all 100 seats in parliament but, this would not mean that 100% of the population support them. In reality the election was pretty close with 4-5% variance, it's just because of the first past the post system they got so many seats and why the BNP got so few.

4. The main reason why AL won the last election was simple, people were fed up with the previous corrupt BNP administration, they thought the AL would be different, now they know this administration is actually worse. It's corrupt, undomcratic, and increasingly dependent on outside power to stay in control.

5. Finally we all know, Bangladesh is a poor country, no one thinks otherwise, but we are a independent, soverign nation and not part of India or a client satate, so all we ask is India stop interfereing in our internal affairs, hope that's not too much to ask. We just want to develop Bangladesh the way we want it be, whether is secular or Islamic is up to us and not you period.

I hope you can see it from our point of view...

You will again elect her in 2018-2019 elections because BNP will again rule with same level of corruption and will dump more Indian goods in Bangladeshi market and the vicious cycle will go on like this.

Political enmity between BNP and BAL is one on the bitterest in the World. In India both NDA and Congress have identical economic policies i.e. to continue reforms and same foreign policy when it comes to China, US, Russia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Myanmar. So, unless in your country BNP and BAL don't come to consensus over common economic or foreign policies, you guys keep on suffering with Indian dalal vs firangi dalal issues.

Sorry Mr.nalandapride but you like most Indian don't understand BD politics. BNP & BAL are not the
same. BNP was always more patriotic and looked after countries interest. BAL and Hasina has a
terrorist psychology. I know its hard to understand that how come a Party leader be such a traitor
but Hasina is unfortunately a ruthless dictator and has traitorous mindset. She
was always behind all the coup the country experienced since 1980. When Ershad over threw the democratically elected Gov in 1980 she famously said that "I am not unhappy".
She never came to power via fair elections. She became PM twice under very abnormal
conditions. 2008 elections were heavily rigged. It will be hard to find someone in BD who
will not agree to that. If you analyse her remarks in news papers now a days you will realize her
twisted mindset. The way she talks is not suited for PM of any country. Given a free
& fair credible elections held every 5 years BAL will cease to exist.

Lol, you are funny. As funny as a BJP guy abusing congress, and telling others, "you dont understand Indian politics"
You sound like "All congress people are lapdogs of Italian sonia".

I can Understand most of your point except first past the post. That system is used in India and UK as well, so AL is as democratically elected as BNP or parties in India/UK.

Your response once again proves you have no clue about ground realities in Bangladesh, it's people and politics. Yet in typical typical indian fashion you would dedicate yourself to defend awami league the indian stooge and detested by majority of Bangladeshis TODAY. It really does not matter except the fact by doing so india throughly exposed itself interfering in Bangladesh internal matter. Thus legitimizing interference from Bangladesh or any other country for that matter, in indian internal affairs. Just to think of it independence movement in Assam, Monipur, Darjiling and others are ripe cases to do so.

I have no interest in defending AL. If people want there, they can throw AL out and bring in BNP. I hope that happens so that we will know what BNP is capable of.
But you talk like everything is a single party( or woman's) fault. I would have said the same if you have blamed BNP (and ms khaleda) for everything.

I agree I dont know much about ground reality, but I dont believe one can blame one party( say labour party/ congress/ AL) for everything.

Munshi once again at advertising his book, anyway I'd not a touch a book with 10 feet long barge pole which portray koutilya with ashok.

As I have said before that is a picture of Kautilya. Maybe you will not touch the book but after Bangladesh I have sold most books in India. Other Indians are reading the book but maybe not you.
