Since when religion become Myth ? I dont think that the faith which millions of Hindus are having is based on some Myth.

In my opinion Ramayana and Mahabharata falls under the classification of mythology, not history, mythologies can have historical facts in it.

Of course Ramayana and Mahabharata are sacred religious books of Hinduism.

Hinduism has "itihasa" and "puranas" as part of their tradition and both Mahabharata and Ramayana comes under itihasa.

Second, Violence is justified under certain circumstances. That is what the books are all about. It is justified when you fight against Adharma. Only, its the last resort. Not the first.

Ramayana and Mahabharata are brilliantly written epics / mythologies and probably the best books on politics ever written, especially Mahabharata, with some religious contents / references. But calling them "sacred religious books of Hinduism" may be a bit overkill.

Mythology is a mix of facts and fiction, Ramayana and Mahabharata are most likely to be based on historical accounts of ancient ruling dynasties and their politics and wars, mixed with religious beliefs, local stories, exaggeration, inaccuracies and fantasies added during the passing of stories through generations, moral education, philosophies, and writer's freedom in story-telling.
