You mean that convicted match fixer, nah...there are at least three Pakistani cricketers who are better than him.

BTW, this is a horrible selection on par with other nepotistic ones by Khan sahab, Zakir Khan and Misbah come to mind.

Ramiz has a lazy work ethic and who after two decades of commentating hasn't improved an iota and keeps blurting out ill-timed and poorly worded cliches, has no insight into the game or players and never takes the time to learn the vagaries of the domestic teams and players...

I expect absolutely nothing out of this poster child of nepotism and parchi culture. Ramiz was a beneficiary of parchi in his playing days, given his first class and international record he should have never playedr 57 test matches while keeping more deserving players out of the team.

The most Ramiz will ever accomplish will be the preservation of status quo.

Pakistan’s former cricketer Ramiz Raja, widely expected to be elected as the next Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on September 13, has begun the process of meeting high-profile individuals in the country’s cricket structure.

Raja spent six hours in the National High Performance Center (NHPC) on Wednesday.

According to sources, the expected future chairman of the PCB met chief selector Mohammad Wasim and discussed the current selection structure of the national side.

Sources further stated that the squads for the upcoming series against New Zealand and the upcoming T20 World Cup were discussed while the chief selector was also questioned about recent selections and the overall vision of the selection committee going forward.

Sources also revealed that Raja met Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam and the two individuals discussed the problems and issues surrounding the national side.

Head coach Misbahul Haq, who is currently quarantining in West Indies after being tested positive for Covid-19, is expected to meet Ramiz Raja after returning to Pakistan.

The expected future chairman of the PCB also met provincial coaches and discussed matters pertaining to the structure of the teams in domestic cricket.

Ramiz Raja was briefed about the workings of the NHPC during his visit and also met key officials in the setup.

He will be a good representative of Imran. Like usman buzdar he would also mainly follow and seek guidance from imran with little initiatives of his own.

This appriach has its pros and cons. Time will tell if he becomes a good executioner of tasks or not which would essentially require diplomacy, consistency and a little stubbornness too. Ramiz raja is known to harbour these 3 qualities. Fingers crossed.
