Every praise is for pilot inside the cockpit .its actually man behind the machine factor .
Hmm if the brits in the next few days dont come with a counter-claim then we can assume this to be true , but we should wait . atleast give them time to react. If they dont then congrats to pak airforce in advance.
Actually this interview has been on the net for more than 6 months now. Also, you can ask your Indian friends here, the PAF has never been acknowledged to overstate anything. They are always credited with understating or just plain old keeping quiet.
The PAF, checked out the EF as far back as 2005 and politely declined it and perused for the F-16s.
Wasn't a bad decision after all.
So in essence I guess RAF pilots should improve their training in WVR combat or is it being implied EF which IAF might get is a dud.
Or as an extension just because PAF pilots defeated RAF pilots in WVR combat exercise will also defeat IAF pilots in WVR.
the question remains. how accurate are those BVR missiles and how hard is it to dodge them? All said and done.. real world.. the EF would have engaged the viper from miles off using an AMRAAM.. and have had a greater chance of surviving the return shot.
Did the EF came off a dud when PAF evaluated it or did is just not fit PAF future plans?
the question remains. how accurate are those BVR missiles and how hard is it to dodge them?
Pakistani pilots flying modernised versions of the 1970s-vintage F-16 Falcon fighter have beaten the RAF's brand-new Eurofighter Typhoon superfighters during air combat exercises in Turkey, according to a Pakistani officer.
Perhaps the account above is simply a lie, or anyway a bit of a fighter pilot tall story. But the pilot quoted will be easily identifiable inside his community if not to the outside world, and he could expect a lot of flak for telling a lie on such a matter in public.
