Boeing Apache Choppers for Qatar

Qatar will buy 24 Boeing AH-64E Apache Helicopters for $667 million in a Foreign Military Sales deal.

The deal includes a Longbow crew trainer, support equipment and Thales radios.

This is the single biggest helicopter order by the gulf country. It adds to a deal to buy 24 Dassault Rafale fighters last year.

We could buy 25 Apaches with those 700 million $ we had for the F-16s :-) and if we cancel the 15 Viper deal (952 million $ deal) we could buy another 35 Apaches , if we cancel the Mi-35 deal we can get more apaches :enjoy:

I'm guessing the latest block, the AH-64E?

I don't think the Apache has been cleared for export to Pakistan, correct me if I am wrong.

We can make war on terror bahana and get them , i have no idea but if we can get vipers then we can also get Apaches , and Apaches wont harm the Indians as well. I think they are clear for export but they are expensive thats why Pakistan never had interest in it .

I don't even know if Pakistan has requested them but from what I have heard from other members here it doesn't appear as though the Apache has been offered to Pakistan. The AH-1Z offers almost all of the capabilties of the latest Apache blocks so it is a good bird for the PA.

I heard that they were offered but the vipers had almost the same capabilities and was much cheaper than Apaches . I think it was a long time back when the US offered Pakistan every tech it had but after we got in the Chinese camp the sales got really restricted and hard to finalize.

But I think we should reject all the deals with America after refusal of F-16's..
What do you think...??

Waste of public money.

Qatar is already well-protected by the United States and other Western countries.
