I am not sure if economics and demographics support this - a Polish army of 10 combat divisions backed by tanks, HIMARS, Apache attack helicopters would be a cheap way of ensuring USA and Germany would never have to fight Russia over the Baltics.

96 Apache's makes for formidable air support for infantry troops. Poland is looking to defend itself and also the Baltics from Russia

Poland is doing what it needs todo to protect its people - and they are NOT messing around. They are making the right decisions to buy off the shelf and in large quantities, rather than what the UK does - which is create bespoke variants - spend lots of money on doing that and then only being able to afford a small number.

Poland is also looking to replace all Soviet era equipment in their forces. They will be able to defend themselves regardless of what others may do or not - and good on them for that.

Poland is now a NATO member and would be able to call on NATO for defense. The Russians would not want to deal with that as it would involve the USA also. There is no gain to be had from such an act

I am sure Germany, France and United Kingdom will help Poland. It is easiest way to keep Russian bear away. Add Finland and Sweden. You have a powerful Northern front against Russia

Actually, that's what the west is doing in Ukraine.......

Ukraine, not Poland, is the Eastern Flank against Russia. All other hype is just people are scared Russia will do crazy shit like they did with Ukraine......
