Where does exactly JF-17 fit in when JF-17 cant even Data link with these airplanes ?

We dont really know if Link-17 is not compatible with these ones as we have no detailed info in this regard. If we have established data link between Thunder and Saab-2000 then it should work fine with others (only if we have done so as i beg to accept my ignorance in this regard).

They intend to replace M2K with Rafales.

The MFI-17 Mushshak (The Proficient) is a light-weight, robust, two/three seats, single engine, predominantly all metal aircraft with tricycle fixed landing gear. It has been developed to meet US FAR 23 certification in categories normal, utility and aerobatics. It can operate from any short un-prepared strip and is completely independent of any kind of ground equipment. Super Mushshak (The Agile) - advanced avionics is an upgraded version of Mushshak fi tted with a more powerful engine, cockpit air-conditioning, electrical instruments, and electric cum manual elevator and rudder trim.
Training Role
Mushshak meets the requirement of a modern primary training syllabus and is an ideal basic trainer. Aircraft is ideal for:

  • Aerobatics, stalls and deliberate spins

  • Formation flying

Army Co-operation Missions

Good. I would be more happy if they purchased JF-17 but a step in the right direction. I hope after the dual seater JF-17B more deals will be signed.
Indians are giving bribes or threatening countries that have shown interest in JF-17. they have a dedicated force to spread propaganda and misinformation against the jet. which gives me an Idea..
if Pakistan can secretly plan with another country and declare that a sale is decided.. Indians come rushing in bribing the so called buyer with dollars and the the buyer announces that it is cancelling the deal. Indians mock us on PDF and then we secretly share the money with the buyer and move to the next buyer and repeat the process

Really a mean and a disgusting behavior but I won't expect anything otherwise. In that sense it is a great deal and I can foresee JF-17 flying in the Arab skies soon. I think dual seater JF-17B may help remove some stumbling blocks.

Have just learned from reliable sources that Qatar today signed a deal in Doha for the purchase of Ten PAC Super Mashak trainers.

news media hasnt confirmed the number but if it's ten, it's a great start for our military partnership with GCC states like Qatar (the Saudis are already having these in operation for quite some time)

How do we know it cannot?

Because if it can, Data-link would have been the one of the main talking point in selling JF-17 to morroco, to egypt to saudia to qatar. But wherever ever marketing team went, What was reminded to potential customers? Cheap affordable, 1/3 price of F-16 so on and so forth

They are thinking same as saudia or egypt thought about buying JF-17 once upon a time . As soon as budget cuts are announced in UAE, Apha jet replacement plane will be the first to go down the drain

Irrespective of what was your suggestions, do you see PAF promoting LINK-17 with JF ?
