My point is even with madrassas gone and all mullahs hanged, we'd still have a dysfunctional educational system, a weak and inefficient government, and a power vacuum.

That is correct, but does that mean we leave them alone just because we have other problems too?
See, despite the fun I'm having here.. the serious matter remains with an ever propagating religious extremism in society. And while just targeting it alone without solving all the other factors would be an exercise in futility, it must be made the initial primary focus because religious extremism(or as you put it "religious minded") is in itself a tool for those that keep the education system dysfunctional, end up with a weak and inefficient government and play on the power vacuum.

This is not a step wise solution or a straightforward parallel solution, this is a carefully planned surgery of a massive cancer.. and there is almost always severe blood-loss and trauma in surgery for the patient.Nobody wants it, we would all be happy that none is needed.. but it at the end it is if this serious a patient is to have any hope of survival. Taking out Qari Shakeel is like removing one growth in a lymph node, that does not at all mean that the cancer is gone or that another growth will not take its place.

Yes it will, but the effectiveness of it will depend upon how close you hold it to your heart. Lets say you hold the idea of Pakistan dear.. but hold your faith dearer.. lets assume that At some point, you may get disheartened with Pakistan at one end and finally decide its not worth it. It will difficult to let go, but you will. However, your faith is an even deeper cause to your heart and having to let it go will possibly be the end of you.
The same way, it may be possible for someone to use your ethnicity to have you hate and kill someone.. but it will require much harder work than it would to say use your religion. Its better to have something less explosive that you can take precautions to handle rather than something that blows up with the slightest temperature change.

I think this is the very first time I have expressed so much hatred towards such menace of the society on this Forum.....
just like Gufi I had face arguments and justifications from very close friends and many do not even discuss the topic with me anymore. Because what I have said above is what I said to them. There is "No other possible solution" to get rid of such mindset, but to kill the entire breed.
It is sad, it is inhuman and extremist thinking of mine (as others say) but there is no turning back.
the whole country needs a clean up operation, and by clean up I mean kill them all.....even the Americans find it an optimal solution because once you capture them you don't know where you can Hold them....You interrogate them you will be accused of in human torture and illegal detention....no country (or a province in or case) will hold them with a fear that they might get the back lash from extremists......you will not be sure when will there be a jailbreak....
As I have said above we tried to argue with that 13 yr old kid and try to make him understand, the woman in question was in her 50s, her head was covered with scarf, and for heaven sake she is like your mother, but the kid will have no other way.
He insisted and argued that as per his Maulana sb, this is forbidden and I cannot eat, pray in this house and he ran off.
How can we save a child with such mindset. His other peers stayed because they were asked from other Maulana sab to stay put and recite the verses, after all we were paying separately to the maulana sab and a package full of meat --- he had to take certain steps......
though i was raised in a city, but i still belong to a small village near attock, and I know the stories of child molesters inside madaris and rapes.....how extremism is preached during friday sermons ...... Imam sb from Ahle Hadih mosque will not start the Jammat until i fold my jeans, regardless of the fact i am a sunni......
and it makes me sick how people i know try to justify that I am wrong.....they do not see how these mullahs are driving out in Land Cruisers with armed guards - is this the simplicity and Islam they preach??

Sometime the people of this country really disappoint me but at the same time I love this country and am optimistic that one day we can change the way People live in this country and influence their behavior and their attitude ....
IDK how many cases we will need to quote for people to realize the truth, and wake up --- and at such instances ( and quiet often lately) i recall the lines I once heard from someone in UK, if you continue on this path, Pakistan will be stripped off its right to posses nukes - and sent back to stone age ---- and only then people will wake up and rebuild with what would be left.....

Yeah and I am COAS of internet army. I have quite a family in forces (also close family member who served 5 years in ops Swat and Op Mezan) and none of them behaves like this, they don't just sit on internet and keep abusing Pakistanis.

One of the reason i responded to him that way is because he expressed his views that are shared by many members on this forum ...and to them I have replied many times in a professional manner ----
