Exactly! The equation is very simple

Afghan Taliban and IEA are the best option available for Pakistan's security and geopolitical interest in the region. There will be few areas of contention with IEA (everyone in Pakistan knew that, unlike libturds who think they found alchemy by stating the obvious). Pakistan should try to work with IEA and figure out a mutually agreeable working relationship at the border between two nations, without giving up on our core interests.

THIS is how modern state-to-state relations work. Navigating through best available options and protecting/advancing your interests while doing so. Pakistani fanatics on both sides are too childish to understand this. But to be honest, I have rarely seen religious fanatics arguing that we should hand over Pakistan to IEA. Its mostly secular-nationalist ret@rds who want Pakistan to bomb Kabul & wreck our relationship with IEA just because Taliban are baddie "bIGOtS" and dont allow nightclubs in Kandhar

No one cares if they create a nightclub in Kabul or not. Not our concern.

Afghanistan can become a Religious theocracy or a Vegas like country in South Asia for all purposes and Pakistani nationalists wouldn't care.

Our only issue is their expansionist and primitive mindset that paint a huge number of Pakistanis as murtard and wajib ul qatal. They want to encroach and steal our terrority.

If anyone has ever read history of Pakistan-Afghanistan relation , he would be incredibly cautious of them.

Taliban or no taliban , Afghans are a problematic people.

Also , wait till IEA gets stabilized and have funds to carry out Operations inside Pakistan. You guys will remember Ghani government in better terms.

The point is Ghani or Taliban...Both are enemies.

I am Pashtun and I accept the Durrand Line most Pashtuns accept it. Only people that don't accept it or have a problem with it are Waziris, Maseed, and Achakzais
How do the Haqqanis factor into this? Do they accept it?

Also, what would, if only slowly, make these three groups more likely to accept it over time?

It is only Northern Alliance which is not pro-Pakistan.

Not quite sure where you guys are getting your information from.
they read a few tweets and based their entire opinion on a few incidents.... sisssies

Haqqanis are complicated because for them, they were the ones that allowed TTP to fight alongside Afghan Taliban. Haqqanis would accept it, in my conclusion, because they are the most pro Pakistani group.

However, there is a political capital on this. No Pashtun in Afghanistan accepts the border. NONE. And since they make up the majority of the country, you can kinda see they throw their weight soley on this issue.

None of the other groups will accept it, even Mullah Omar didn't accept it back then.

The Durrand Line symbolizes "death" to the Bar Pashtana psyche (Afg Pashtuns). They believe that Afghan civillization was at its peak during the days of Durrani and that they were on the top of the world until Durranis family got sacked and the Mohammadzai signed and ratified the treaty.

The creation and mere existence of Pakistan symbolizes complete ensealment of that "death". They genuinely believe that Pakistan is Israel for them and all Pakistan does is steal Afghan land and culture.

So in short, not recognizing the border is trying to "undo" that death. While in that process, more death and destruction has happened.

The only groups that recognize the border are the Farsiwan and Uzbeks and stuff.

Welcome to Hell.

Cringe, do they have any idea that Pakistani Pashtuns don't want anything to do with them?

I am glad that a Pashtun himself is saying this.

When I talk to dumb Pakistanis in real life and on social media and tell them that non-pashtuns and northern alliance people are more accepting of durand line and peace with Pak rather than the Pashtun/IEA/Taliban .... They blindly refuse to accept.

This happens when one doesn't read or understand facts but rather cloud their judgements based on their own perceived biases and bigotry.
Cringe, do they have any idea that Pakistani Pashtuns don't want anything to do with them?

They call them slaves of Punjab / Gul khan / tainted with Punjabi blood and other slurs.

You should listen to Gen Tariq Khan... He is himself a Pashtun and hates Talibans and have said that Taliban are not friends of Pakistan and more stability in Afghanistan will lead to violence over here.

Its based off of my life time experiences with them.
I wasn`t talking about you actually... i was pointing at some other members........ btw what do you think should be done? I myself have met many over the years n the markets overall Pakistan and i didn`t found them to be anti pakistan but that just my experience.

And your saying many of the Waziri people share their belief?

For the Pakistani Pashtuns that oppose the line, is it about just that lost pride of their past glory, or is it more to do with practical things like freedom to move across the line, etc?

Fo you think most Pakistani Pashtuns would defend the line? And if not what accommodations would make them likely to do so?

Don't only blame it on Molvis(taliban), Afghanistan was like that during Ghani, Karzai and even before that.

Karzai and ghani were then Taliban are now. They made big promises that if they got govt they will do this and that. So far they cant even provide food to tgeir own people. All aid is being hoarded by Taliban and not a drop has been goven to ordinary afghans. At tge end of day it is a govt of molvis every one saw that list.

FEAR ..

Afghans must Fear Pakistan the way they fear USA after what they have done to their country. On the surface , IEA may claim that they have defeated the US but inside they know that reality is a bit different than propaganda. They know very well that if there was another 9/11 type attack and somehow it got connected to them , then they can say bye bye to Afghanistan forever.

Afghans are by nature very primitive and expansionist. If they don't fear Pakistani retaliation , they will carry out their mischievous acts.
