In the Korean War we fought against the USA + 16 of her allies combined, and pushed them into the longest retreat in the history of the US armed forces. Check any source you like, even American textbooks say the same thing.

That was a 1950's China, at the weakest point of our entire history.

And THAT is why America never fights directly against major powers, they switched to indirect warfare after that.

WOW....This thread is really tense.lol I dont even understand how a thread involving tensions between Russia and Turkey has attracted so many members from China and India who are cheer-leading /defending Russia even more than the most patriotic Russians themselves. We were discussing this strange phenomenon just yesterday on another thread. lol How I wish Britain and the U.S also had such cheer-leaders on here.
The most funniest thing is you will hardly even see Russian members here(there are quite a few of them) even wasting their time commenting/debating/arguing over this even though its their country who is involved, they seem to be allowing their cheerleaders do the hard work for them.

Ok guys you should all come down, there will be no war between Turkey and Russia. The implications for such a war are simply too big for any country to start one, and it will only lead t a Lose-lose situation where NONE OF THE TWO COUNTRIES will benefit from this war. Russia(and Putin) is no fool. Both country will indulge in tough diplomatic posturing, Aggressive rhetorics, and maybe even bolster their military presence in the region(like we have seen with Russia air defence systems and Turkey's move into Iraq and now Qatar) etc. But there will be no war.So everybody can now go back to their normal duties. All is well.

Some reality check for the delusional Chinese peasants:

1. There are 2.5 million Syrian refugees in Turkey. Significant amount of them are Turkmens who are mostly enjoying better living standards than an avarage Chinese iPhone slave and a Russian drunkard living in 15m² Soviet era housing projects. Those who are still figting in Syria are volunteered Turkmen fighters who can enjoy the safety of Turkey whenever they want.
2. Turkmens, along with pretty much every Syrian were already being bombed by Assad since the beginning of the war. Had using dumb bombs on civillians been a war winning move, then Assad would have already won the war before Russia's contribution with even more bombs on civillian markets.
3. Turks being killed by China all over the ME? What are you on about bud? Last time I checked, it was Turks who were slicing Chinese racists with machetes in train stations. lol
4. Turkey had never sent its jets into Syria since 2012 to being with. Even then it was due to navigational malfunction. The aftermath resulted in Turkey's current Rules of Engagement which is the reason why Russia now has two less pilots and one less jet and a helicopter (Needless to say, none of them are as important as Russia's destroyed public image). Turkey has always avoided to be directly involved in Syrian mess as much as possible. So that S-400 has no impact on Turkish operations whatsoever. Instead, it gave Turkey a leverage: If sht hits the fan, it will be one of the first Russian assets to be destroyed along with their Moskva tincan in Med within hours. 5. Just yesterday, Turkish jets conducted an operation in Northern Iraq against PKK terrorists. Turkish jets are constantly patrolling along the Syrian border, waiting for another fool to dare passing it. If Putin really wants to fvck with Turkey, he should just send another aircraft towards Turkey and see if history would repeat itself or not instead of his daily bitching and crying rituals on TVs .
6. I like how Russians and their fluffers fantasizing about ending the insurgency, thus saving Assad by using Soviet era junks while even the Western coalition haven't been able to get a decent result against ISIS despite its technological edge over Russia...

Such a discussion is always interesting. If you're cautious to not make an already bad situation (whatever its cause) worse, you're seen as afraid. And if you demonstrate you are not afraid, by stepping up you actions, you're making trouble.

While not discounting S-400 in the least, one should also remember that the presence of advanced air defence systems has not effectively stopped e.g. the US from mounting an air attack if/when they deemed it really necessary.
