RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of the party’s Rawalpindi chapter and its six MPAs for not bringing enough people to the sit-in.

Imran Khan summoned all leaders from Rawalpindi on Wednesday and met them inside the Azadi Truck on the Constitution Avenue. The meeting was attended by President PTI North Punjab Sadaqat Abbasi and MPAs Saddique Khan, Malik Taimoor Masood, Asif Mehmood, Rashid Hafeez, Ijaz Khan Jazi and Arif Abbasi.

He asked them to bring 200 people from each union council for the next two to three days, to show the party’s street strength in the ‘final stage’.

A senior PTI leader told Dawn that the party chairman was unhappy with the attendance of the local chapter at the sit-in site, especially after the police action.

“If all office-bearers attended the sit-in, then more than 1,000 people will remain on the protest venue. The responsibility lies on the shoulders of the local leaders to improve the attendance of the gathering in the next two or three days, which will be final,” he quoted the party chairman’s views.

He said the party leaders had informed the chairman that most of the people avoided to come in front due to the presence of Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on the container.

He said the party leaders had been asked to remain loyal to the party and be ready for the final announcement of the movement.

The official said the presence of a large crowd was necessary for the gathering, because the PAT workers were higher in number and PTI needs to increase the number of its own workers at the protest venue.

He said the party chairman also questioned the resignations of the MPAs, who told him that the Punjab Assembly speaker had made phone calls to the MPAs for verification of their resignations one day before.

“All MPAs were assured that the party would give them party tickets again and accommodate them in the cabinet if PTI manages to form a government in the next elections. The party chairman was hopeful that the next general elections were near,” he said.

PTI District President and MPA Arif Abbasi told Dawn that the party members held a meeting with the chairman and discussed party issues for the next few days.

He said the party asked them to bring maximum number of people at the sit-in for next two to three days, adding that Imran Khan wanted to improve the morale of the local leadership and heard their problems during the meeting.

He said the PTI Punjab chapter also held a meeting and discussed the current situation after the departure of Javed Hashmi.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should resign and new free and fair elections be held

1. We, the Pakistani voters, want Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign from his post as we feel that General Elections held on 11th May 2013 were massively rigged in favor of his party.

2. We want him to resign for his and his family's crimes and corruption against people and state of Pakistan, including mass killings of innocent civilians in Lahore and Islamabad, live bullets, tear-gassing and baton charge.

3. We declare that he is unfit to run this country despite being Prime Minister of Pakistan for the third time and has failed miserably during all 3 stunts.

4. He has failed to govern the country and address public issues like terrorism, inflation, electricity-shortage, economic failures among others.

5. He has failed to gather support from International community for Paksitan's problems and can not represent people of Pakistan at any International forum the way a country with 180 million people deserve.

6. He has failed to lift the economy despite his election promises and has borrowed unprecedented amount of loans from IMF which he said he won't.

7. He has failed to provide food and shelter to 1 million IDPs from FATA who had to evacuate their homes due to anti-terrorists operations. These people have been left strained in the open without any care from Federal Government for so many months.

8. We want Nawaz Sharif to resign on the charges blocking the access to justice by grieving political parties on the charges

We want you to resign immediately so the charges against of crimes and corruption against your person and family can be investigated fairly and a new independent Election Commission of Pakistan can be formed to hold free and fair elections in Pakistan.

no one can beat song and dance of PTI.

Twists and turns

Shake and bake

DJ Butt and all the Butt swinging.

No one can beat that. No one!

If you have observed these poles then you should know all these poles have an opening near the ground from where connection to the bulb goes. It is from here anyone can easily use kunda.

An article worth reading. Unfortunately in urdu.

‮پاکستان‬ - ‭BBC Urdu‬ - ‮’بابا ایک بار پھر سوچ لیں‘‬

Yaar tum log bhi na, I live in ISB and we have underground wiring in red zone, if anybody wants to put "kunda" first off all he has to dig and the plans of where the wires are with CDA, a normal person can't just find them. Also kunda on underground wiring isn't as easy as with the poles.

May 2013 elections were fair: US - thenews.com.pk

The United States views Pakistan’s May 2013 elections to be free and fair, a State Department Spokesperson indicated Wednesday, saying there has been no change in its position on the polls.

Nothing has changed in our view,” Spokesperson Jen Psaki said at the daily briefing.

She was asked if the US still regards last year’s elections to be free and fair, as it did at the time polls they were completed, or accepts PTI leader Imran Khan and his supporters’ rigging allegations. The spokesperson said the United States was closely watching the situation in Pakistan, in the face of marches in Islamabad. “As I understand, in Pakistan, the protests have died down and things have calmed a bit in the streets.”

She added, “I also want to make clear that our (US) embassy is fully open there in Islamabad. I know there was confusion about that yesterday.” Psaki said that the US was in contact with the Pakistani government, however, America was not involved in any sort of internal political decision pertaining to the ongoing protest, and it was not a part of the negotiation process at all.

No one cares what US thinks and we all know how bias they are, also you are forgetting that there is so much evidence, videos, fake stamps, ballot papers etc. Geo's anchor Hamid Mir also said that and did shows on this many times that the elections were rigged and you can't say that they weren't. With even members of Parliament acknowledging that.
