PTI Azaadi March 2022: Updates and Discussion

If there was one single biggest mistake IK made in his 3.5 years rule in my opinion - he was too soft. It's like he thought he is ruling another iteration of Britain. He should have been savage and used the scapel to redifine Pakistan. You can't make 'naya' out of a system that has been laid by Bhutto/Sharifs for well over 40 years. It's deeply entrenched and has vertical and horizontal linkages with army, bureaucracy and judiciary with most media just a off shoot of these ruling dynasties. Although in his defence his ruling majority was wafer thin.

But if he does get back in PM office he had better take out the scalpel straight away and start chopping, slicing the very next morning. So that by the time he leaves the old order has been turfed and new generation of Paks can take over.

He needed to build his reputation with the countries abroad which he has done. The next time they will trust his decision making and he will be ruthless.

The biggest issue is the web of the Sharif family, they are married into literally every key position. It will be difficult to dismantle. Will need to go after the entire family tree.

I would have let Imran Khan come to Islamabad and stay there for as long as he wanted.

Actually, I would have set up water and sandwich stalls as well. Within two days, people would have returned. Half of the money saved by not using tear gas would have been spent on water and sandwiches.

Exactly.

But that would not have given N a way out.

Right now, either fauj comes in to intervene (which N always wanted) and N gets to cry mazloom, or they try and shift public opinion against PTI by saying they are violent and destroying property.

Got to hand it though, right now PTI is handling this well, they haven't picked up sticks and started fighting with the police, nor destroyed any property or set things on fire. Still peaceful and only want to get to the marching spot.

It's as if Israelis are stopping Palestinians from getting to Al Aqsa...wtf.

Perhaps you missed the part where it says the courts cannot interfere with parliamentary proceedings? This was confirmed by the court just a day or 2 earlier. In other words, the courts went against their own precedent & violated the constitution.
Parliamentary sovereignty is a principle of the UK constitution. It makes Parliament the supreme legal authority in the UK which can create or end any law. Generally, the courts cannot overrule its legislation and no Parliament can pass laws that future Parliaments cannot change. Parliamentary sovereignty is the most important part of the UK constitution.

Karachi police are absolute dumbfcks.

SSU is only good for roller skating acrobatics, protecting the royal family, and shooting at protestors. Karnay wala kaam kia nhn jata.

What's the need to fire in the air?
I think before Islamabad, Karachi protest will go out of control.

Your right there. They are cowards and chors to boot but genius in the social engineering within the Pakistan society. They have made deep inroads in bureaucracy, medai, police etc although to be fair Sharifs began this process from 1985 so have four decades of incumbency factor on their side. Over these decades they have used state patronage and proceedings of corruption to spread their tentacles deep within the body of the Pakistani state.
