what i wanted to say was that this is internet, and not some restricting professional college where debates are used to score exam marks but contribute nothing to knowledge.

agreed that "trolls" are plenty on pdf, the site management team should choose panelists based on their posts, and topics based on realism ( like socialism vs capitalism... eastern bloc versus western bloc etc ).

I despise the "Seniors" Cafe, it's not fair. I think it should be through invitation only, and not based on whether someone has a PhD or not. @Horus

LOL! - I never implied that only PhDs will be allowed to participate. I was just pointing out to the diverse pool of young intellectuals we have.

Different topics may require different teams to be made comprising of members knowledgeable on that particular subject being debated. One team can post a narrative and the other should counter it. Or a Panel of members who should compile some data on the topic being discussed and ask both teams questions and opinions.
