If the mullahs would stop being such pricks and would cooperate with the West than we would really orogress. Right now it's all oil.

All of our governments in past cooperated with the west and we got nothing.

Russia is cooperating with the West and they control their resources. Saudi Arabia is cooperating with the West and they are not. The difference between these two is that one has the expertise to drill its own oil and refine it (Russia), the other isn't (Saudi).

Iran is perfectly capable of drilling its oil and refining it. However because of the sanctions two things are happening: we're losing money by the boat load and can't invest money in our oil and gas industry to increase output (we need tens of billions of dollars in order to modernize our oil industry and to develop the South Pars Gas fields) and we're not able to cooperate with Western companies. Without working with Western companies we simply will not be able to increase our output above the current levels (currently only a few Western companies have the technology that we need and even Russian and Chinese companies aren't able to help us). We will simply pay a small sum (comparatively) to increase our output by millions of barrels a day.

It's up to Iran/Iraq/Saudi etc... to sign full on deals with Western companies to develop the oil fields. Iran however has no need to sign those kinds of deals and consequently we won't have to share our profits with anyone. It's not 1979 anymore. Today Iranian oil companies can develop oil fields, build refineries etc... We however badly need foreign tech, expertise and the removal of the sanctions in order to drive up investment and in order to stop the country from bleeding cash.

And Iran is powerful? LMAO Is that why we're under sanctions?

Just because we're more powerful than war torn countries around us and slave oil sheikhdoms it doesn't mean we're powerful. By that definition North Korea is powerful. they have nukes and they're independent. Yet they're living like 12th century villagers.

You completely misunderstood my post i gave example of russia and china as the countries who cooperate with the west but still opponents to america.

And i didn't said Iran powerful at all. I said it a country which wants power.

Buddy, even Saudi Arabia has control over its own oil resources, same with Iraq. Neither of them can drill and refine the oil by themselves so they've signed deals with Western companies to do all this for them. IT'S THEIR CHOICE, nobody forced them to sign these deals. With such a deal these Western companies will take half of the profits. Neither Iraq nor Saudi is forced to do this, but they do this because they rather have half of the profits than nothing at all.

Then why do you want your country to be out of sanctions? If sanctions will be removed then 50% will be demanded by them and the situation will remain the same.

I believe Hydro Carbons had destroyed Iran's capability to develop a Hi-tech/Heavy-Industrial-Chemical based economy which is highly diversifived. If I was PM (hypothitically) I would boot out the mullahs, focus on Education and massive plus infastructure projects like large Port terminals and rail links, 6X laned Highways etc. Then I would reduce Pertro based industries to about 6% of the economy and fund project like Shipbuildings etc. Once Iran's economy supasses 1.5 Trllion, all piorities should be focused on sciece and Tech.
