Presser by PM Kakar regarding Afghanistan situation

I think its pretty clear that pakistan is in a low intensity war with afghanistan.

The war will heat up as it moves from west of indus to east of indus

What makes you think it will move to the west of the Indus? It can't sustain it there because TTP utilises pockets of support in Waziristan and inner KPK regions. Building a stronghold into the west of the indus is difficult for this reason.

Afghan strength has always been the ability to maintain a low level insurgency for a long time, which is what I think will continue to happen with increased support from IEA.

But this time IEA is going to try and build political goodwill internationally, gain allies, find alternatives to reliance on Pakistan and will apply pressure on Pakistan.

You can see this with how they are trying to switch trading routes utilise wakhan corridor and Iran's chahbahar and skipping Pakistan entirely. It's essentially stealing Pakistan's role as the entry into Central Asia.

The issue is at first we allow them to enter, then allow them to stay without papers for decades, then suddenly we kick them out which will create more hatred, it was Pakistan government responsibility to register them all but due to corruption people have multiple identity cards or no cards at all. Alot of these people have lost their properties, even if its a mud house. Its not a good policy for winning hearts and minds. Anyways now moving on, anyone who enters Pakistan must be registered, any refugees must be given a refugee card and the right to work, open a bank or own a property. Its the responsibility of the government to make sure it happens and noone is given fake id cards by government authorities for 1000 rupees.

How do you people gather the courage to breath? The forum is filled with fans who would sacrifice their families for some Niazi cricketer. Ironically the same people cheering for expulsion of Afghans were cheering for Niazi when he made it a mandated promise to provide Afghans born in Pakistan, the Pakistani citizenship.

You said about fans who would sacrifice their families for IK. Actually its the other way around. That person sacrificed his everything for this nation, including his family. Even when not in politics, he loved this country madly and passionately. Defended his country boldly in every forum, did charity work, made universities, cancer hospitals and never did a single rupee corruption or took a leave when in power. Thought about his country and his people only. Exports, Remittances, textile, IT, everything thrived despite most challenging enviroment due to COVID, dealt with covid situation in an exemplary way.

Whole Pakistani establishment architecture is designed to punish patriot Pakistanis and reward corrupts. Asim Munir's establishment is setting out an example that anyone who is patriot either journalists like Arshad shaheed, wajahat, IRK or politicians or any businessmen for that matter will be punished severely so from now onwards no body gives a damn to this country.

On Afghan Issue, and citizenship: If a person is borned in the UK or the US. Do you think they will see their parents citizenship ?

A person born and raised in Pakistan is a Pakistani. Its state's duty give value to its citizens and make them assets rather than alienating them. For sure deport the Afghans with no documents and suspicious activity. But ones with documentations, ones who started businesses here, ones who born here, ones who are contributing in economy and have families and marriages here should not be deported as you have no idea what kind of monster size problem you are creating.

Where is mianwali?

They just need sympathizers on that side of the river. I think they will find them.

Whoa..., PM sahab lost his cool for a sec.

(...already) Timestamped:

Not sure how much he can back up to what he said in the end, but those final words were near perfect.
Iss ki koi auqat hai jo iss say koi demand karay ga

Sari demanding kay aagay iss kay GHQ walay bosses sir jhukai kharray hotay hain

Nope. Mianwali is right on next to the Indus river. Very rarely they can sustain attacks there. All it takes is a single counter terrorism department and it won't be sustainable there.

The real base has always been in Waziristan and inner KPK for TTP.

BLA for southern and inner Balochistan.

Kakar talking like how a nuclear state PM should.

There's a phrase it reminds me of "give someone an inch and they'll take the mile" - this is what is happening with Afghanistan, kept giving and giving and now they want miles and miles. You thought you'd earn goodwill but now they see you as a coward.

You need to establish a red line that they should know crossing has actions. This is done by heavy consequences.

-Pakistan should carry out airstrikes and destroy all of Taliban's ammunition storage centres, and military equipment like helicopters and vehicles to weaken their stronghold.

-Then it needs to create a supply line that can provide constant resupply of weapons to the Northern areas and set up training camps all across Tajik/Hazara dominant regions. The ideology should be a Khorosani-Farsi ideology that hates the Afghans. It should disarm everyone of weapons that are against it.

-Shut down Af-Pak border, mass surveillance and minimal movement.

Make them wage war against the Taliban. It's the only proper way to retaliate. This group will accept the border and keep the others in check.

TALIBAN WILL NEVER BE RELIABLE. ONLY AN INCLUSIVE GOVERNMENT OF ETHNIC MINORITIES. OTHERWISE IT WILL GET WORSE FROM HERE.

I like the press conference; it was firm & to the point
time to act on it in a responsible manner

although caretaker PM can't come up with real policies except that of army's and army can't carry out those policies unless the next elected PM is on board

I think you will see it advance into pubjab/sindh.

If it gets hot enough you will settle for a new status quo and a new informal border (maybe formal?) The same one we have had for 1000s of years. Geographical boundaries are forever. Lines change all the time.

And why not? They sense weakness. The coffers are empty. There is no air campaign coming unless you get someone else to fund it. There is no way you can ramp up internal security enough to secure pakistan unless you get someone else to fund it.

2030, if this forum is still around ill come back to this thread and post the new map.

Fair assessment, but what did IK ever do on the matter?

He may be a Caretaker PM, & he may not be around for the long haul, but atleast the ball started to roll as soon as he came into the picture.

Lets just hope we can evict as many as possible before the (new) selected PM takes the throne.
