Potential JF 17 Buyer in Dubai

. .
IS this new one ? or is it the same old from Paris Air show

Two Points.

1: PAF Officials speak out over the first deal of JF 17 Thunder.

"The contract is already signed, but we will leave it to the customer to announce it first,” says Air Marshal Javaid Ahmed

He further adds Pakistan has full access to the JF-17’s source code, which gives it significant flexibility in tailoring the jet for customer requirements.

“Having the ability to do all the programming sends a very good message that whatever weapons they have, they can be integrated onto the aircraft. You don’t have to go China.”

2: A prototype JF 17 Thunder has flown with the new WS-13 engine which produces roughly 20,000 lbs of thrust : say Chinese officials during Dubai Air Show.

They further added J-31 will be powered by the same twin engines but currently J-31 is powered by Russian RD-93 turbofan engines.

I think its the same one, the statement from AVIC fails to differentiate that the buyer is a new one. Purni gari phir chamka rahay hain.

. . .
1) Burma
2) Nigeria

Both Burma and Nigeria are interested in JF-17. I think Burma finally signed the official contract to purchase 6 - 8 Thunder.

.
Unidentified Buyer again :D

yeh apna nam btane se darte q hai? JF-17 khreed rhy hain choori to ni kr rhy

This probably has more to do with us than with them. As per most estimates the buyer is Myanmar, a country which ranks pretty low at the moment on the list of nations Pakistanis especially the right wing mullahs, see positively. The sale will probably be disclosed as the situation in Myanmar improves.
