Second Gen AC: nuclear reactor + ski-jump/steam catapult = mixture between Ulyanovsk/Nimitz 85,000 - 90,000 tons

First Gen AC: China's own Kitty Hawk class carrier 75,000 - 80,000 tons

Second Gen AC: China's own Ford class carrier 100,000 tons

There is rumor that Type 052D gonna equip with lasergun, so maybe it will be used for Aegis ABM defence.

And Type 051D gonna use for carrier escort, so it should have been powerful in both air defence and anti-submarine warfare.

Will China be skipping the Midway, Forrestal and Nimitz Class. I think you should be happy if China can create a Forrestal class or a Nimitz Class carrier.

Is j15 a naval version of j11 or a new aircraft

it is claimed so, previousely the Chinese sent some people to exam Su-33 and very unhappy about that, like the price operation status and capability. So they decided to go with their own, even it might take some time.

But personally i still prefer J-10's variants to be on aircraft carrier, coz its much smaller, newer aerodynamics hence more numbers and better aire superiority. be honest, i dont really like russian products!
