PML (N) suspends female MPA over bus hostess slapping incident

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (N) on Wednesday suspended party membership of its female MPA Nighat Sheikh who slapped a bus hostess for not serving water swiftly, FP news desk reports.

According to details, PML (N) has also issued her a show-cause notice asking to explain her position on the incident within three days.

Earlier, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif also took notice of the incident.

On Sunday, Nighat Sheikh allegedly misbehaved with a bus hostess named Iqra Nawaz.

The MPA, who was traveling by a private bus from Islamabad to Lahore, asked bus hostess Iqra Nawaz to bring her water. She complied but the MPA got furious over the service delay and slapped her.

Passengers of the bus intervened and demanded a legal action against the MPA. On this, the driver took the bus to a local police station.

But the lawmaker managed to lodge a complaint against the girl instead, accusing her of making death threats.
