Kargil war started when he was in charge, at a time when the Indian PM had visited Pakistan to start peace talks...and Pakistanis wonder why Indians don't trust Pakistan.

On saying that, I do like his stance in putting army in its place and showing who the boss is though.

NS didn't start the war. It was really a "venture" by a guy who thought he was so powerful that he could show punches in a country's parliament in an Army camouflage. And now he's nowhere to be found, fighting courts and the system that he once abused. Slowly, he's becoming obsolete and silent with his opinions.

And Pakistani military is in its place. All you need is a good leader. Both the Army and the Pakistan have good leaders so that would result in some serious growth as both the civilians and the military are working together.

Another propaganda thread. If you don't understand the basics of this, you should probably learn political science. This is called Good Cop - Bad Copy strategy. Gen. Raheel did exactly what he needed to do, to let India know the consequences. What NS needed to do, was to course correct to ensure that the Army chief's statement doesn't turn into a conflict.

Whether you believe it or not, Pakistan is going through probably the most critical time of its existence. India, Iran and Afghanistan would love to see Pakistan getting weaker due to a limited conflict with India as that's what India wants too. But by issuing a overwrite statement, the message going out is smarter and irritation free.
At this time, the goal is to grow Pakstan. Pakistan needs 3-5 more years totally free of conflict with anyone. After that, India will be in NO position to ever go to war with Pakistan, unless they are ready to lose their 75% of the Pakistan speciic fleet as the defense budget in 3-4 years would be around 12-15 billion dollars with about 100 more jets added in the inventory / with upgrades, a much stronger economy and much stronger military.

Damn---Aqeel Siddiqui---the younger one and the older one---I don't remember!!!! Anwar Sikander Khan was the principal---Haneef Sahib was the vice principal----Maulana Abdul Rahman was the Islamic studies teacher---him I saw walking into the cinema on the inauguration of film Azra in 1967---what else.

I remember---I was in G3----there was a test----the teachers says----aik cricket match ka aankhon dekha haal batao----tell about a cricket match you saw---.

One of the kids---he was an artist took it literally-----. He was sitting in front of me at 45 deg-----this guy drew the picture of a team playing a match in the stadium on the test paper while we all were writing.

I remember my English teacher Mrs Nayyar and then there was Mr D'Souza----he smacked on the back of my neck one time and I pissed in my pants---wallah---Mrs Nayyar was so embarrassed---I was her top student in the class----what else----.

The perception amongst Pakistanis I see is they trust their armed forces to run the country more than they trust the legislative body. Most Indians for example do not know who the general of the Indian army is, while I saw a thread in PDF where people were boasting about how lady MPs from Pakistan were taking selfies with the general while the president was giving a speech. People of Pakistan would back any move by the army (like Kargil war which was amongst Pakistan's biggest blunder) but would loathe to trust the prime minister/president. Unless this changes, it's always a dangerous situation. I don't think any Pakistani prime minister has served more than 3 years consecutively which goes on to say a lot.
