Featured PM Imran Khan's Interview to HBO's Jonathan Swan

True, that is why these two are on top 2 position of a Nuclear Armed country while you are living in UK, possibly in a town house doing 2 jobs to keep ends meet :)

Its called biology, maybe you never took that class, a women wearing lesser clothes have a significant affect on the minds of certain males, why you think stripers in strip clubs took off all their clothes rather then putting them on? why you think there are naked women in **** and men jerking off at it? yes there might be some weirdo's who jerk off at Niqabi or Hijabi, but in Generalize terms lesser clothes are to enhance the sexual appearance of the women, yes in west they are born and raised in that culture where they are used to with it, but in a country like Pakistan where majority of Pakistani's will ever see a naked women before marriage would be in either movies or ****, so a sudden change in clothing style will have an impact on society, similar to this if by any miracle i Put every American women in Hijab overnight, it will have an impact on American males, what kind of impact is another topic.

Thanks for your concern, however, we probably have more money than you have ever seen in your life.

The interviewer came looking for a sound bite to sell.

He laid the trap...

And the all knowing Imran Khan fell right into it like a good little boy !

The real question is knowing the history of this particular journalist, why did the PM office agree to the interview in the first place?

As far as the rape comment is concerned, he is the P.M of Pakistan. In Pakistan women who wear skimpy clothes( elite class) are not usually the victims of rape.

In Pakistan, rape victims are young boys/girls and working lower class women.

No matter what context he has, rape and skimpy clothes don't belong in the same sentence when it comes to this problem in Pakistan.

Lets leave IK what he said or not, and discuss this topic from a social point of view.

Easy access to pornography, vulgarity on media objectifying women, women dressing in a society.

If one cant see the changes it is bringing in our culture, compare our generarion (28-30) and nkw the younger teens on the block (16-20). The impact it had in just 10 years is mind boggling. What our next generation will be like. Just sit in a company of these boys i mean even the posh ones and listen to them talk about girls they know or even random ones.

All these factors builds up frustrarion and is corrupting our society. The incidents of rape or molestation are directly proportional to the frustration and corruption.

The victims are just easy targets, whoever it is easy to lay hands on. One needs the understand where the rot is coming from.

He did no such thing. HBO edited the interview and didn't include the PM's whole answer. PTV has published the full interview. Have you watched it? The PM's original answer had nothing to do with clothing, he was asked specifically about it.

I meant what I wrote. He was talking about kids having access to ****. **** massively distorts children's idea of sex and sexuality. As a society we don't talk about it and our youngsters use it as a reference guide.

He also talked about there being no ways in our society for singles to meet in an environment with courtship in mind (clubs, discos etc). People use the media to learn how to woo a girl. What does Bollywood teach people about that? Persue the girl relentlessly, no means yes, if she smiles at you she's into you. It's all subtle.

It perverts our young peoples understanding of interaction with the other gender and thier views on sex and sexuality.
Oh man.. I thought it was 'preventing'... but it was perverting :D
Yeah, he meant easy access to ****, but he didn't say that. From his mobile comments, I also guessed, that TikTok and Insta, can also be the reason. People dress up, use filters and propagate videos.

Like, you saw the India boys commenting sex--l remarks on Pakistani girls pictures/videos on fb, insta and TikTok...

You make a good point about ****. Access to **** particularly **** that degardes women is having tremendous negative reprecussions. There was a case in India about a group of 12 year lads raping a young girl. That can only come from having access to ****.

Imran Khan should have stuck to this. That young men in our society now have access to **** and our society is not ready for it.

Instead he went for the skimpy clothes argument. In Pakistan, women don't wear skimpy or revealing clothes hence women dressing a certain way is not why rapes are happening in Pakistan.

Women dressing a certain way in the streets may affect conditions in the West or India but NOT IN PAKISTAN. And he is the PM of Pakistan so he should stick to what is happening here.

If he had linked the **** part and violence in movies that would have been a smart and a more correct answer.

HBO editing the interview is not a surprise. The surprise was giving the go-ahead to this particular interviewer who has a history of looking for sound bites.

I watched it again and frankly it doesn't look any better.

Yeah bro, it's engrained in society. You're in the UK now, idk what your experience has been like but i've been in workplaces where female colleagues were "rated" on their bangability when they weren't around, women get cat called, guys drive by horning at girls, people approach women in professional settings asking for dates. All this is normalised - yet in reality women consider it harrassment. Some of it is so subtle. I would have never have thought asking a woman out in a professional setting could be harrassment, but if you think about it, it can make people uncomfortable.

Our society has loads of such problems, PM was suggesting we handle those as a society, because it all builds up.

Show biz ki dukaan khatray mai par gaye lol

NO DOUBT, The editing was done in so so way to paint the PM in a negative light absolutely no doubts.

Good thing is PM's Office recorder the interview and released it in raw form to the public.

there are plenty of snarks especially those who live on NGO money, who are barking all the time.

before shooting off blanks in a actual fight watch the unedited version.

Only if this issue was as black and white as you think it is, sexual assault in any society are cause by many factors which includes the dress style, in a country like Pakistan sexual frustration can be traced back to the inaccessibility of sex as youngster like Americans and westerns do, Here at my work i am meeting literally 18 years old girls and boys who are living with their boyfriends for over 2-3 years as sleeping partners, traveling to Miami over Tampa Florida can get you enough half naked chicks, so that is why the clothing style does not affect the western boys, to some degree it does and many of the sexual assaults and rape even in America were traced backed to the clothing style of women as the predator stock its prey.

Pakistan has its own unique culture same as any western culture, just because something works in America does not mean it should and can work in Pakistan, yes the society will see it as a progressive sign as the women are free to wear whatever they want, but thing is just because a section of society wants a certain freedom in the society which makes the other majority uncomfortable then i'd say make laws that are balancing towards the both ends without brewing a larger conflict, the soul of Pakistan according to its founding father was suppose to be Islam, even if its a secular Islam which a lot of PDFians wants us to believe that Jinnah wanted, it would still not allow the women to dress like they do, Pakistani people are confused and troubled by the fact that they want to look like/ act like/ walk like / dress like / eat like / shop like/ Dance like / live like Westerners but within their subconscious minds they know there is a creator and his messages is not to fall for those temptation but they still do it because without that, they wont be seen as " modern " or would be labelled as " Extremists or Fundamentalist's " .

I am sure Pakistanis will find a way that works for their society.

I think those were given by the security so he didn't bring them with him. Anyway, he mustn't be armed and perhaps there is armed bodyguard pointing the head of the interviewer..
He would have been covered. In any case he is an interviewer of international repute. The security detail does not have to be standing on the head of the interviewer, but they will cover all the angles.
I agree it is a difficult situation for IK to handle the Uighur issue . However he did tackle it well. and I think there is a serious lack of understanding in the West about Eastern values and the impact of Westernisation on the East.

Sure, but any latent virus/pathogen can be transferred even, by handshaking or pen dart. The interviewer can then get vaccinated, and IK left with no vaccine. However, I think its high time we should declassify documents about Gen Zia death. No need to hide CIA ops.
However he did tackle it well.
He did it extremely well. IDK whether that part was released on HBO or not.
IK has vivid concepts. Listen few seconds that we should not seek western approval.

I hope you've got your apologies lined up. Here is the unedited footage of the interview.

PM talks about how sex crime is under reported, how children are often the victim, of how media and the Internet is perverting sexuality, how the whole of society needs to challenge sex crimes and raise awareness including in schools and in the media.
The interview is still edited. Total time period of the interview is 82 minutes. HBO just published 13 minutes out of 82 minutes, and the west talks about free journalism.
Foreign office sources say Mr. Swan spent 11 minutes on question about burqa, lol.

So all this rocket science knowledge came after the 3 hr long exercise?

Why do this stunt in the first place?

I think GoP has raked enough propaganda value from this and should move on to newer gigs.
