PM Imran calls for vertical buildings for more green space

given pakistan's lax or non-existent building codes it takes a nice earthquake to flatten those buildings

All credit goes to pak navy for mapping continental shelf..othwerise till recently this was international waters not ECZ

There isvmuch higher chance of oil in KPK and Baluchistan but with 40% taxes and 20% duties it becomes very risky

I think by April we will know the true potential of this offshore well. If it is what it's stated to be then... Pakistan can build some of the shiniest vertical structures in the world pretty soon.

Lahore is seeing building construction go up. After buildings are constructed, housing societies built on prime farmland should be razed down.

Sigh ... if pakistanis were capable of following standards in the first place you would not need Imran Khan to save your asses

I would like to urge caution. When you build upwards, homes have no outdoor space. Where will children play? How will people keep cool? AC all the time?

We need to be cautious about how we plan out cities and buildings. Think about parks, Haveli style buildings with communal open area in the middle, towers with floating gardens.

Everywhere doesn't have to look like Manhattan.
