PM IK considering a complete closure of Air Space to India, ban on use of Pakistan Land routes

The lady anchor didn't ask the right question by next but interrupted him to complete his sentence. PM was informed accordingly but seems like Pakistan side was awaiting for any positive outcome post G7 summit. The decision is already made but before any official implementations; comes the legal process to issue notification. Mind it; there involves international airliners & there are set rules in regard to navigation/air space that none of the countries can commit any violation otherwise, you are already facing sanction hammer for violating International Rules.

I hear you, but my point is, when Indian revoked 370 and started abusing and oppressing Kashmiris, why wasnt it done at that time?

And we have already seen how much interest world is talking in this Kashmir issue. Nobody gives two hoots about it, otherwise Kashmir should've been part of the agenda of G7.

IK love for peace aside, he is terribly misinformed by his advisors. Those "advisors" will always remain in the background while he will endup getting the flak, something which he is not realising.

Geopolitics is moving at hundred miles per hour. GOP response is lethargic and proactive.

Still considering!! its been 22nd day of IOK lockdown!

Speaking of his "advisors", just wondering if there are any names?

Only 2 international airports in North of India, which will have a direct air route, while going west, over Pakistan.

OMG... India will starve...

In return... India debars any airline, providing services to Pakistanis, to operate from India.

Let's play the game... If Pakistan really want to play it for a long time. Not for 15 days or a month.

Last time when you briefly closed it your aviation minister said CAA suffered a loss of $50million and India lost $83m...so it is going to bite both countries's aviation industry which is not doing so great..

Sure, but when you're in the battle then its given. You have to be ready to lose some but the key is to inflict more damage to your nemesis.

I appreciate your reliance on Pakistan Aviation Minister in this regard which makes you feel good for a while but I am sure you can't read the haunting of what exactly the losses were for India.... Welcome to the Forum. Read and remember.

You do not take all shots at once... 1 2 3 of such games... Pateince with strategy, taking your appropriate shots as per right time & the size of target, moving onto next with different shot & damage and the cycle goes on... This is not like you are going to bar someone to not to park in front your gate. We are a responsible nation with very close over-watch by lot of enemies that seeks an opportunity to harm us. You have to play safe & legal.

Kashmir reached to almost every nation out there and there is none to say that Kashmir isn't a disputed territory. Nobody attested Indian version. so the first step completed and now comes the fight which too has a lot of steps & rounds to be completed.

Did we expect anything different than what India can or will do? Its India call and you are free to do so. We have already played and this move is also calculated. Sometimes, I am really surprised when other thinks that State will not calculate every risk involved. Last time, Indian National Airline did starve that you may know.

Why are people assuming this ban is for EVERYONE?

Can't we just ban Indian carries only? Sure PIA routes to the east will suffer, so what, close those routes towards the east then.

Allow everyone else to pass the airspace apart from Indian carriers.

This way the damage would be minimal.

No International pressure otherwise. Those doing business with India will need to feel the pinch so that pressure can be built by them on Modi to de-escalate the situation in Kashmir and LOC. Big businesses can exert a lot of pressure on Modi and we need to declare that Military Option is now being considered to make these foreign investors jittery as they could end up losing billions invested in India in case of war.

Your aim is to inflect maximum damage on your enemy be their national courier or foreign airlines bringing business to India. Why should the ban be like symbolic as what you suggest? And this time, their losses will be more than before because of the closure of land trade route as well.
