In paper, there's always chance for a Ballistic missile to hit an aircraft carrier at far distance, but probability is nearly Zero.

you forgot that China is more vulnerable against missile attacks ... from USA.
Because their intercept ability are better than China's

They have yet to prove that it works by hitting a live target at sea. And even if they did, how do we know it could be a conventional missile launch? As Putin himself mentioned about a Trident conventional missile concept for faster response to threats, he would retaliate with nuclear missiles because he does not know if they are armed with conventional or nuclear weapons. Even Donald Rumsfeld shot down that idea.

India should have no worries about this as India is the superpower. Indian Ocean is India's Ocean and with 50 years of advanced Indian training on AC, China is no match for India. Above all, India has the most advanced missile in the world Brahmos, that will sink all the Chinese ships and subs in the area.

DF21D is designed for US aircraft carrier under tight protection..
For Indian Navy warship, China has a lot of anti-ship missiles that can work..
India Navy was slightly behind PLAN 20 years ago.
But nowadays, India Nave is far behind..

Why Only indian navy is behind. Even US and russia is behind china. e.g J20 is f22 killer, J15 is better than Su33, DF 31 is US Killer.
