not the size we're talking about.but then again,its all debatable.the level of automation,the need and the time frame along with complexity of the platform,everything is depend on it.see, J-10 entered into service 2004(assumed.the fact is they're producing it somewhere from 2002).in 10 years,they made some 260+ J-10,26 aircraft each.and they'll make some 1200.so,it is easily understandable that with all these aircrafts,they'll not shift their most production bases towards fifth gen.its not like the average is not achievable,but economically viable when you've small orders.you can see that India too isn't targeting much LCA per year,want to produce some 16-17 per year,which is pretty decent when you've to induct some 200.same goes for Rafale too.you can only shift massive amount of resouces when you've to make massive numbers.400 just doesn't cut it.
