I notice something about this and the similarity to Sumpak MLRS that belong to the "Project Sta. Barbara."

Was the end product similar to the one in the picture and was it meant to be mounted on vehicles, possibly the V-150 Commando or M113 APC?

No its waste of time maybe our trucks but not the light cavalry vechiles its just too useless to try and waste of resources.
