i cant remind myself when did we create TTP. TTP emerged as a reactionary force to US drone attacks. and this was when in 2004 more than 120 civillians of mahsud tribes were killed. first in the weadin and then at funneral. later we sent our army there and further worsened the situation.

Yes but you could reject the aid.The fact is America has helped us a lot during last 60 years and we should acknloedge it.The demise of Soviet Union was in our favor too.Soviet Union was extremely Anti Pakistan.Yes US Made mistakes however US never made any commitment that they will always be our babbysitter therefore we must develop our economy and reject any aid only then our relations with US will improve..It's not like Pakistan was a saint.THAT AID helped us we got weapons but THEY DID NOT FORCE US TO USE THE AID.It was our mistake that we used the aid.OTOH, I agree Drone Attacks should be stopped because Civillians are also getting killed according to David Mil who is counter insurgency expert in US and have inside info about Drone strikes.

Now that's like punching below the belt.
This is a complex mindset where people actually start trying implementing certain practices which might have had some relevance in the history to present times. Grossly erronous.

I recall, some years back on Valentine's day, few couples were enjoying themselves in a plantation area near my unit. About 10-12 hoodlums belonging to a right wing religious party came on mobikes and started thrashing the lads and even some girls on grounds as despotic as "insulting the Indian tradition and culture by aping the west". I was so flared up that I asked my boys to deliver a good "cultural training" and ahh....what a teaching it proved to be.
They sure would never want to get more "cultural" anytime soon.

Coming to think of it, why don't you spend some time on the forum, going through posts that deal with the post 9/11 situation?

You think General Musharraf is an idiot to have fallen for "American requests" to join the WoT out of love and affection or for want of "some more weapon/money? That too, knowing thoroughly well whom his forces will have to engage and what repurcussions it might have on the domestic front?

The General did EXACTLY what he thought was in best interest for Pakistan in a time when even the most ardent US counter weights were keen to extend a helping hand in American's quest for retributions from the perpetrators of 9/11. It was real-politics. Whatever aid/equipment came with that was part of the package.

I disagree.US would have attacked Afghanistan one way or another and it's pretty hard to monitor those borders.

I disagree....Musharraf started war against them when they were bombing mosques, kiddnaping foriegners, bombing gas supply lines, we didnt had army operatoin against them when they were bombing mosques in karachi etc, musharraf started operation against them when taliban started getting funds from raw, mossad, and talibans were hurting pak-china frienship! Talibans says that they are enemy of USA, can u tell me how many US citizens they have killed and how many pakistani's they have killed!

yes if it promotes nakedness than no, if it promotes illicit relations, also, no, but if it promotes healthy exchange between wife and husbands it is o.k. as long as others are not made to bear the intimate things between them.

You would like to have a society like Sodomin and Gomorrah, a society devoid of character, and society ridden by decease, that is the society destroyed by God due to its unscrupulous practices.

Where as I would like to keep society clean, respectful, courageous and true to the cause of goodness for humanity. a society which has respect for women and their bodies and that they not sex objects, but are mothers, sisters and wives. Respectable part of society.
