I don't mean to be disrespectful or offensive but I would really suggest you to compare the effectiveness, operational readiness and experience of XI Corps and FC with that of the rest of the army. Stop criticizing for now. Peshawar has got a really good security as compared to the rest of the country.

I'm not critical or emotional here but just being rational.

Pakistan Army specializes in repatriating cowards with their brethren. Good job, one can only pray, and thank the security forces for preventing the attack from actually taking ground, or causing substancial infrastructural damage. You can't protect every point in urban war, but in this case, the TTP is in the red.

Strategically, it would be ideal if the attackers were from Afghanistan -- or even if ISPR could fabricate documents of that order -- would give more backing for an operation into Afghanistan to take out Fazlullah and the last bastions of Talib strength.

You should first get UNO or Amnesty to certify that this was not a fake attack and the people killed as terrorists are not innocent civilians which Army is claiming as terrorists. After all as per Pakistanis (and allowed by moderators), all encounters are fake till proven other wise by an international body. Example below

Every encounter claimed by india in kashmir is fake encounter untill it is probed and declared genuine by neutral agency like uno,amnesty etc.

The airbase was attacked from Bara bazar side...
Multi layered attack..Rockets were aimed at the boundary wall to blow a hole,rockets missed and fell on peoples houses.Then a car with 4 suicide bombers hit the wall,and somehow all 4 died..
later some firing took place between Security forces and remaining terrorists...

Express news says target was airbase...
