For starters this dumb reporter does not understand that that 0.8% is not growth rate but increase in proportion of muslims wrt to total population. It indicates not just growth but accelerated growth vis-a-vis other religions.It means growth rate of muslims is much much higher than others to an extent that it has lead to decrease in proportion of others by 0.8% and increase in proportion of muslims by 0.8%.
It is a double differential like acceleration, not single differential like growth which is analogus to velocity.

The moment their population rise to the level which matters, they would try to backstab kuffars to prove themselve to be real muslims.Ever heard of the term "more catholic than pope", or "Shah se zyada Shah ke wafadar"; the moment Qaidinis get viable numbers, they would take to terrorism like fish takes to water, and use it as an opportunity to prove themselves as muslims in eyes of real muslims (Shia and Sunni).
Most peaceful muslims in history vis-a-vis kuffars have been Khwarijs, who are also known as Ibadis (Third sect completely different from Shia or Sunni.they are concentrated in Oman and Zanzibar). They ,and ironically IS terrorists, are referred to as Khawarij dogs by Sunnis and Shias as they fought more wars with Sunnis and Shias then with infidels.
