But to be fair were you or any sane mind expecting an upright person’s appointment as NAB head?!?!?!?!? - when forecasting / predicting the next possible step by alliance of PPP & PMLN - expect Aftab Sultan - whatever you get above him - consider it as a bonus!

He headed the abbotabad commission after OBL raid, the rest as we all know is history.............

Well .....that was THE trickiest bench to head.

@PakSword - I agree with you, we (in Pakistan) live in utopia; believing the Godfather to be under the law fully knowing that anyone under or below the same Godfather had never been under the writ of the law. It's naiveness unlimited or what - don't know; but that's how we are conditioned.

Btw., there is NO National Reconciliation Order; and I am not sure what are referring as NRO......like what are salient points that we are alluding to for that "supposed" NRO? ....Like let Nawaz go to London, for what in exchange, to let systems get strengthened through SCP and PA? There are things that are happening ...yes. But to paint it with the same brush as Musharraf times NRO is bizarre to say the least. Conditions were different and we can discuss those threadbare....but almost none except one condition is still similar.....but lets not go there as it's not apples to apples comparison.

NRO happens when other side has something to offer; at this point in time; Nawaz is not in a position to "offer" anything; he is no ZAB, who has personal relations with Kings or Kingmakers around the globe; nor has capacity to create such a scenario where he can lead the Islamic Summit types on his own. He is a lucky pygmy at best; with "Expired" written on in caps at his packaging.

In order to understand the situation; we need to comprehend the factual ground realities; there has been no magic ever happened in Pakistan; nor anywhere in the world; nor it will happen. Period!

Just one question.. Why was monitoring judge..appointed? Wasnt it his duty to ensure tht weakness in laws/ proceedings isnt exploited ...and tht these trials end within specific time period? If he cant even ensure tht trial is completed within six months.....why was monitoring judge..even appointed? Koi iss sawaal ka jaawb de dey mujhe..tu shayad kuch sukoon aajaye..
