It is confirmed by various sources that an iqama is a tool that facilitates in parking Swiss Bank accounts without the account being back traced to country of origin as iqama is used so account points to country of source or country of account holder as UAE (instead of Pakistan in this case).

Not denying what you have stated, but unless it is proven in the court of law that Iqama was solely obtained to launder money, not for the residence purpose, it can't be used against anyone. And it is extremely difficult to ascertain this.

Particularly, UAE's iqama doesn't give you a right to live indefinitely in the country. It is a temporary visa with work rights only.

Difference in this visa and the the visit visa is only the work authorization. In some countries, working and getting paid in any organization (whether inside or outside of the country) leads to conflict of interest. In our country, the law doesn't specifically restrict parliamentarians to work for other organizations or businesses. It is because the constitution was written by those people who have industries/ agricultural lands etc and they get benefits from these businesses.

If a clause of conflict of interest is included in the constitution, most of the parliamentarians will lose their seats.

What a waste of our time discussing the nomination papers of KN.

Har guzartay din ke saath ye soch mazboot hoti jaa rahi hai ke sharifon ko Pakistan main kuch nahi hosakta.. Sirf DQ ka lollipop de kar khush kar diya gaya, awaam ko.. Sharifs ..Pakistan ke system ke aisy laadlay hain..jin ko har koi bachaanay ki koshish karta hai.. NAB references ke summon mil chukay...lekin phir bhi inhein bahar jaany se nahi roka gaya.. Koi aur hota tu kab tak ECL main naam dall chuka hota..inquiry ki stage par hi.. Yahan accountability court ke summon aa chukay...aur koi inhein roknay wala nahi

Monitoring judge is also sleeping... Ye unka kaam hai ke woh NAB se poochein ke jab isay summon ho chukay thay tu NAB ne maryam tu ECL par kiun nahi daala tha...ab tak? Usay bahar kaisy jaanay diya?
Monitoring judge ki appointment bhi lollipop hi thee... Woh ab bhi active nahi honge tu kab honge?
Waisy tu yeh hota hai ke agar koi accountability court ke summons par 2 dafa ke baad bhi appear na ho tu pehle bailable warrant aur phir non bailable warrant issue hotay hain.. Lekin mujhe lagta hai ke yahan accountability court ke judge bhi...appearance se exempt kar dein ge aur kahien ge ke sirf lawyers hi appear hojayein..warna atleast 1 dafa tu har soorat main appear hona parta hai accountability court main.. Lekin kiun ke sharifs par koi law apply nahi hota tu yahan accountability court main bhi inke appear hona zuroori nahi hoga...

Jab monitoring judge..jin ka kaam hi yeh tha ke NAB aur accountability court ki proceedings ko monitor karein..jab unhein hi fikr nahi hai..tu accountability court ke judge ko kia pari hai ke woh ..sharifs ke againt jaye? If monitoring judge had asked NAB..why didnt they put name of nawaz sharif on ECL earlier..b4 his going to london..tu ab shayad NAB ziada careful hoti..

Atleast Nawaz sharif ke jaatayw waqt accountability court ke summons tu nahi milay thay.. Ab tu accountability court ke summon bhi aa chukay..still none stopped her..

@Realistic Change it seems..not only strict or lenient but "Being right" is also a subjective term for our SC.. Or SC / monitoring judge thinks.....its perfectly alright tht even if u have been sent summons by accountability court.. Even then u can leave country any time.. Theres nothing wrong in it...and no need to grill NAB over it... It seems tht monitoring judge also thinks tht its perfectly alright ..if law..doesnt apply on sharifs.. ..........Koi doosra accountability court ke summons ke baad bhi.... Pakistan se bahar jaa sakta tha?

Main Qazi Faez Isa ke baaray main 2 cases ke baad thatak gayi thee.. Ek tu Dr Asim ki ECL walay case ke baad.. Jis ki hearing pehle Ejaz Afzal wala bench karraha tha.. Tht bench said ke hum ek independent medical board banaa saktay hain.. But then tht case went to Qazi Faez Isa and Dost Muhammad Khan's bench.. Unhon ne ek hi hearing main Dr Asim ko ECL se nikaal diya...NAB ko bura bhala kehnay ke baad...

Uske baad Irfan Mangi ke baaray main jo remarks diye....ke inhein mulzim banaa detay hain.. Aur uss case main bhi mulzim ko zamanat de di thee inhon ne..lekin Irfan Mangi ke baary main keh rhaya thay..ke inhein mulzim banaa dein..

My friend, what I mean is people are naive like NA120 voters who don't know why iqama is obtained by looters like these. Billionaire friends of Sheikhs like this tubbar have no problems getting in and out of UAE just like for influential sheikhs it is not an issue to come to Pakistan.

I'm not talking about proving it in court. I mean people should understand the reason for iqama. Not everything can be proved in a court of law but people should be able to connect the dots or should be told that a certain house cat must have drank all the milk missing from the pot when your kids are at school.

Now, what has been taken to court is the fact that holding an iqama and being deputy chairperson of company means you are a salaried person according to UAE laws then why didn't you declared the same in your taxes but most importantly, in your assets in nomination papers. It seems like it amounts to Tax evasion and non declaration or concealment of assets. Let's see how the case and facts actually unfold.

Had people understood, the result of NA 120 would have been different.

People also read from the judgement. In the judgement, the sole stupid reason given by SC was a salary that wasn't drawn. SC didn't even raise this concern that the income/ increase in assets in the nomination papers didn't account for the AED 10,000 salary, on which tax should have been paid. SC didn't raise the issue of forgery and all other stuff. This lead to the confusion and PMLN fully capitalized on it, unfortunately.

This is my view from the beginning.

Anyway, you are right about people's perception. But for that, one needs to be fairly educated to understand the issues. Unfortunately, our people don't have basic education and they don't know what's good for them.

Waisy Justice Gulzar ke remarks se lagta hai ke shayad ..waqayi koi technical difference ho yahan par...panama case se.. NS ki salary ka masla tha..as marketing manager...tht it was his asset.. Maybe KN is not entitled to any salary in tht company..? Maybe Kulsoom Nawaz ki aisi koi position na ho..like marketing manager in FZE? Jis se salary milti...? Aur jab doosre assets ka poocha tu lawyer should have been prepared to name hidden assets..but he didnt. Main Justice Gulzar ki neeyat par shak nahi karrahi..
