Although this question is being asked by me, I am sure many Pakistanis would be interested in this topic.

Will anybody please tell about those scientists, engineers, mathematicians who were born in Pakistan before 1947 (before independence from British) and also give links describing their work or directly post the description here?

This is the specialty of your threads. People become speechless.

This question is significant because the pre-1947 era may give a real measure of something. After 1947 dirty covert intelligence games started. People having a reputation of scientists began to be targeted by intelligence agencies of other countries.

To put it explicitly - intelligence agencies may have started to kill scientists or even nip the budding talent before anyone else noticed.

Pakistan Had Quite A Standing Especially In Theoretical and Nuclear Physics.Likes of Dr Abdus Salam and Dr Riaz Ud Din Rubbed Shoulders With Einstein.Every Summer In Nathiagali Scientists From All Over The World Used To Come And Visit And Discuss Latest Research

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Nathiagali_Summer_College_on_Physics

After India Conducted Operation Smilling Buddha An Increasing Portion of Nuclear Research Was Diverted To Classified Military Research. And When Israel Attacked The Nuclear Reactor In Iraq in Airstrike and Saudi Intelligence Forwarned Of Similar Attack on Pakistani Facilities Pakistani Research Papers in Nuclear Physics and Names of Scientists Stopped Getting Published.

Pakistani Scientists Were Kept Under The Hood By The Intelligence To Protect Them In Pakistan,Not To Target Them

Who is this guy I.H. Usmani? His past behavior is suspicious. First he opposed the nuclear program. And then when the nuclear program started he very actively used his position and capacity to impede the program. At whose behest was he acting?

Quoting Wikipedia:

"In a secret meeting of nuclear scientists with Bhutto in Multan, which came to be known as the 'Multan Meeting', only I.H. Usmani protested, believing that the country had neither facilities nor talent to carry out such an ambitious and technologically remanding project at that time, whilst the much-respected Salam remained quiet."

"Usmani intensified Pakistan's non-nuclear weapon policy and was instrumental in promoting the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)."

"His actions of replacing and transferring scientists in different directorates that disrupted the research were criticised. Bhutto lost no time to announce, nuclear engineer Munir Ahmad Khan to be PAEC's new chairman. At this meeting, Usmani was the only scientist to have protested against the projecy atomic bomb project to build the nuclear deterrence against India."

I am hinting something. I can't state it explicitly lest the post is deleted.

If You Are Hinting That Somehow I.H Usmani Was Somehow Working For Foreign Interests,Your Post Is Not Going To Be Deleted and Secondly No He Was Not Working For Foreign Interests

I Remember Some Israeli Launched A Thread Accusing Dr A Q Khan of Supplying Nukes To India And His Reference Was Plaboy Magazine When He Was Effectively Answered The Idiot Started Changing The Subject To Islam and Shariat

While Wikipedia Is Definitely Informative It Is Not A Final Authority.I.H Usmanis Opposition Had More To Do With Internal Governmental Politics Than Anything. I Know This Because Of Something Far More Authoritative Than Wikipedia(My Relatives)

  1. A Kashmiri (his name: Shabir Ahmed Mir) found the solution to the difficult Mathematical problem of Trinomial expansion. It is of such great importance! I wonder why his work is being ignored or downplayed.
  2. Another Kashmiri, Neel Kashkari was appointed as the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Stability during the 2008 U.S. economic crises. It's designation is not that of a scientist but it requires the caliber of scientist. His parents are believed to have migrated to U.S. in 1960s.
  3. There are many doctors and engineers in Kashmiri community. So many that in the list of 'You Know You Are Kashmiri When...' (you know the list where they state the characteristics of a typical guy from that community), being either doctor or engineer is cited as a quality of Kashmiri. In fact if you browse facebook for Kashmiri surnames, you will find that disproportionately high number of them are indeed doctors or engineers.
Despite consisting of so many magnificent people (in the past?), why has this community not been able to devise ingenious ways to fight for secession? Even after 26 years, they are sticking to same old failed strategies and tactics of joining militancy in hordes.

I smell something fishy.

I seriously suspect there has been a systematic conspiracy to selectively kill and wipe out the more intelligent sections of Kashmiri society. Could it be that the brighter Kashmiris were killed and others spared?

Separatist leader Yasin Malik had said, "Militancy in 1990s had attracted very talented Kashmiri youth who later lost their lives."

It appeared in media in 2006/2007. Haven't heard of him or his work since then. Has the news been suppressed?

This is actually the niche of your threads. People become speechless.

All this politics was less or even absent before 1947. That's why I am interested in that era.
