imageboards also have a few arguably cool and on the other hand way worse aspects. the Japanese "2ch" (also known as 2chan or 2channel) mentioned by MH.Yang in another thread is also an imageboard.

yeah it's pretty much just reddit level circlejerk for most places, specially the popular ones. though they often serve as staging ground for more serious stuff. many incel mass murders were frequenters on popular imageboards, posted their manifestos there before going on a spree. incel movement itself was pretty much popularized through imageboards. pretty easy to go from young uncaring troll to jaded incel without noticing anything.

Hindu was the original name given to India by the Islamic invaders from west, I believe they don't have "s" sound in their language for the river Sindhu. Then with east India company which was a name given by the British Traders/Colonizers. So saying Hindu is name of a religion is wrong and India encompasses India, Pakistan, part of Afghanistan and Bangladesh under British India. Well Bharat was a name given after an ancient king who ruled over a major part of the subcontinent. Infact the entire Indus Valley Civilization was off the Sindhu river and slowly migration of those people group happened along river Saraswati to populate the southern region.
