As It's an internal matter of Pakistan, i won't talk that much. But those terror incients are happening in cities, towns...meanwhile at public places. So I think this special counter-terrorism force should be created under Pakistani Law Enforcement forces or the Gendarmerie (if PAK has that). Regards.

Elite Police is one best trained guys you have . They have been trained by army commandos . Their training is also similar to SSG except the survival part. These sons of a gun were doing covert operation with US military.Not even the regular army was send but only these guys .U can well imagine there level of expertise.

Get them back to station and let them be trained as a rapid action force like SWAT. All they need is little training and they can do mircles ......

What doesn't Pakistan just hire militants to fight off the certain groups which cause havoc to their cities civilians? It can be effective if they have any experience.

One of the reason we have a problem is that, you can't trust militants, nothing could replace the discipline and integrity that comes from the years of army training

What was the prime purpose of this Elite Force? Ofcourse to cope with such terrorists and armed gangsters. But what this Elite Force have ended up? They ended up protecting politicians, their kids and even their grand kids..

We can very well guess what is going to happen with any new SEAL or SWAT squad we'll create in future. Like I've already said, they will also end up protecting politicians instead of doing their actual jobs. We need to reform the system first, apply strict accountability and make police department completely independent from any political interferences..

Oh this old video. This video is of CRT and advanced CRT training of Islamabad ATS from US State Dept Anti Terrorism Assistance Program during SAARC 2005. The team in this video has since been broken up with officers assigned to different duties such as PS Secretariate, DPD, some are on VIP PSD an three I believe are instructors at Islamabad police lines.
