Mawra or Mahira, who wore the black gown better?

Less is more!

Known for their all-natural beauty and minimal make up, both Mahira Khan and Mawra Hocane have one thing in common: the like to keep it simple when it comes to their style statements.

From making headlines with stellar red carpet looks to their graceful appearances as fashion week showstoppers, it was only fair to compare their ensembles when they stepped out in similar yet different look this year: striking black gowns!

Mahira Khan:

The Raees star sizzled in a gown by Black Archive at this year’s Lux Style Awards. The figure-hugging, long black dress was classic, but trendy in its design. The perfectly placed cut-outs on the skin-tight dress accentuated the superstar’s waist and complemented her petite figure. Mahira sported Dior earrings, bangles by Kiran Fine Jewellery and effortless beach waves. She looked truly drop-dead gorgeous on the occasion.

Mawra Hocane:

The Sammi starlet recently posted a throwback picture from the GQ Best Dressed Awards last year. Wearing a pleated plain black gown, Mawra looked nothing out of the ordinary. With a dull hairdo and zero accessories (except for close to invisible studs!), Mawra was an utter disappointment.

Hear hear, Mahira Khan fans!

Talking about her mantra for any day look, the Sadqay Tumhare actor revealed, “I am definitely a minimalist. How I feel from the inside is far more important than make up or clothes. When I am at peace with myself, and generally having a good day, both professionally and personally, that’s when I feel the most beautiful.”

She also confessed her idea of a glamour is a red lipstick and she is good to go!

So, what is her signature look? “There are days when I go out and look very glamourous and then, there are days when I just want to keep it simple: hair worn down, a lip colour, liner and some blush and a mascara, and I am done! My personal style is the reflection of my childhood and my later years in LA… it varies from classical (especially with traditional outfits) to boho and laid-back.”

Although Mahira confessed that she loves a good Thai massage, she also enjoys a good DIY.

“Mix a teaspoon of honey with lemon juice and apply it all over your face and neck and leave it for five minutes. This cleanses and moisturises your skin and gives it an amazing glow,” asserted the Ho Mann Jahaan star.

Edhi, the angel in disguise, left the world a bit too soon, sadly. Coke has gone a step ahead to honour him (#ForEdhi) and remember him. Coke felt the need to influence the nation. It wanted to bring people together to continue Edhi’s work. For this reason only, Coke even changed its label to #BottleOfChange. Such is the spirit and compassion Coke has for the less fortunate.
