According to reports, the Pakistani military gunship helicopters attacked eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan early Saturday morning.
The airstrike was carried out around 5:00 am local time in Dangam district, local officials said.
Provincial governor Shuja-ul-Mulk Jalala said at least four civilians were killed and eleven others were injured following the airstrike.
Mr. Jalala further added that the issue was shared with President Hamid Karzai.
In the meantime, Pakistani army officers have said Pakistani forces backed by helicopter gunships have killed at least 14 in a clash near the Afghan border in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal region.
The officers further added that a group of insurgents sneaked into Pakistan on Saturday and attacked a military checkpoint.
According to the Pakistani officers, at least one soldier was killed and two others were injured following the attack.
