Pakistani Defense Minister threatens Israel with nuclear weapons following fake news report

As the dust settled down, IMO, Israeli authority must follow suit to unveil the culprit behind fake story so any future mishap can be avoided timely. While the fake news hit the net, a lobby was even going to die in joy and happiness but did not last much.

Pakistani DM has no access to Nuclear assets at all but was merely responding to a threat by reminding him that we are Nuclear state too though that non-verification part was total blank of Khawaja Asif.

Some times Fake News are used to gauge what would be the reaction.

It was nothing more than saying what you can do we can do too. Unfortunately Israel is not a declared nuclear power hence it can not officially threaten the others with such weapons though they might have an arsenal.

Although his reply lacked tact but he did not threaten Israel - he merely was reminding that with Pak having nukes as well, threatening nuclear attack was not a good road to go down. Although your right he should have first confirmed this before his fingers got the twitch. However nukes are in direct control of SPD and any use of such weapons would require NSC clearance.

The defence minister does not have his finger on the trigger - so everybody relax. That media house that reported this needs sorting out. Such irresponsible and down outright lies are dangerous - with millions of Muslim radicals running rampant we don't need to give them excuse to jump around crying for 'nuclear jihad'.

Even this "authentic Izzraeeli" news piece is trying to blow things out of proportion, he didn't threaten Izzraeel with nuclear weapons rather just gave a stern reminder that Pakistan too posses nuclear weapons. It almost gives an impression that the so-called fake report was released with an intent to provoke a response from Pakistan and then act all 'red hoody' and point the finger at the 'big bad wolf'

He did not threaten actually, he merely responded to a news (which he did not new was a fake one) and made Israel remember. It is not the first time that a fake news has gone viral and official authorities responded to it. In the past, many big news networks have been the victim of this fake news controversies.

You expressed my feeling. I think these days, government officials need to always be mindful that there is a possibility that a viral news report is fake, but I don't really fault him for what he said.

Yeah right. NCA is the main controlling body related to decision making and DM is part of it. But, I think ASFC holds the main button.
