Pakistani Defense Minister threatens Israel with nuclear weapons following fake news report

Threatened seriously? he just responded and reminded israel that we've nukes too he didn't said we're gonna nuke israel though i agree he should've confirmed the news.

He did not threatened anyone he just reminded you that Pakistan is a nuclear country too.
We do not need a reminder, we already know, thanks

.
in the news it was reported that yalon was threatening to nuke Pakistani soldiers in Syria. and DM was just reminding israel that we also have nukes..

News was circulating every where and neither IDF nor Moshe Yalon denied it that early. and after DM Asif Khuwaja's reminder tweet, IDF denied it..
Yalon retired 2 years ago, Khawaja Asif atleast should have this much common sense

Israel got no beef with Pakistan, but Pakistan should beware threatening other countries with nuclear war, specially countries that too, has nukes and instruments to transfer them

Neither we have any beef or issue with you, It was an irresponsible act of an induvidual from his personal twitter handle.
He is indeed at fault for not verifying the info but he never threatened , his reaction as an induvidual reading the news wasn't unnatural , merely reacted naturally that Pak too is a nuclear power to a news which he in his perception thought was correct.
He should officially come forward & clarify that it was a fake news. It was height of irresponsible behaviour from him.

Pakistan is well aware of all the capabilities of every regional and non-regional player. The statement which you are unaccurately referring to as a "threat", did not come from any official source of Pakistan govt. It is a personal twitter account of DM which he mostly uses for his personal point of view and political activities. So peace, it wasn't a threat neither it came through any official channel.

He was removed few months back not 2 years..

Yaar kon yaad rakhta hai k israel ka DM kon hai, ya tunisia ka DM kon hai... Jazbati ho gaya tha Khuwaja Asif..

He's a fool. Just ignore him.

Keep reading your post until you realize how silly you sound.
I am not supporting him but at-least it is not wise to publicly demean our defense minister. He did wrong by responding to a fake source but response was calculated.

.
I expect from a minister to verify a source before going for threatening another country with a NUKE.
Moshe Yaalon isn't even the defense minister and easy google search would've tell that

It's just empty words. Is Pakistan going to tomorrow wipe out Israel? No, it won't. It's a defensive remark, yes he should have done more research but it's still an acceptable thing to say.

specially countries that too, has nukes and instruments to transfer them

Yeah but if we fire nukes at you guys, Israel will cease to exist. If you guys fire nukes at us, we would still survive (although we would pretty much be screwed for decades).

Although his reply lacked tact but he did not threaten Israel - he merely was reminding that with Pak having nukes as well, threatening nuclear attack was not a good road to go down. Although your right he should have first confirmed this before his fingers got the twitch. However nukes are in direct control of SPD and any use of such weapons would require NSC clearance.

The defence minister does not have his finger on the trigger - so everybody relax. That media house that reported this needs sorting out. Such irresponsible and down outright lies are dangerous - with millions of Muslim radicals running rampant we don't need to give them excuse to jump around crying for 'nuclear jihad'.

The 'media house' that reported this is awash in fake news and still operates openly on Facebook.
My personal favourite:

Don't think it was a threat, more of a gentle reminder :D.

.
Hopefully someone with access to nukes is more mature than this idiot minister, who can't even confirm news reports

I agree. He should've verified the news. But the more I read stuff on Twitter, the more I witness that the world is moving to a Twitter war of words, people are becoming more edgy and quick to respond on the keyboard (becoming true keyboard warriors). I guess the next generation will be born with a built in Twitter account. Eager to write or response in seconds and without verification.

Why is Pakistan so quick to speak about nukes, Khawaja Asif?

Does he, like other members of the government, not get briefed by security agencies?

Sitting in his jail cell secretly armed with a cellular phone, a British mobile SIM, and the contact details of world leaders, a murderous psychotic terrorist, in the hopes of killing countless, sat plotting nuclear war. His plans were so ludicrous that you’d think this was a work of fiction straight out of a bad spy novel, but I assure you that this incident was frighteningly real.

First, he called a nuclear-powered nation itching to retaliate to fresh terrorist attacks on its soil, pretending to be the head of state of a nation whose countrymen were allegedly responsible for the attack. Attempting to call the foreign minister, he was unable to get through the security protocols, and gave up after being promised a return call. Next, he called the secretary of state of the most powerful nation of the world, but was once again unable to pass the security of checks.

Finally, he tried his luck calling the president of the country that stood nervously accused of orchestrating a terrorist attack on its neighbours, and wouldn’t you know it, he got through to former president, Asif Ali Zardari.

Yes, it would be amusing if it weren’t so pitiful that according to reports, while sitting in his Hyderabad jail, British terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh, linked to organisations such as Taliban, al Qaeda and others, convicted for the brutal kidnapping and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter, Daniel Pearl, was unable to get through to Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee or American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, yet had a conversation with the president of Pakistan.

And not only did he have a conversation, he also managed to convince the Pakistani leader that he was the Indian foreign minister threatening him with dire consequences. Here, the Pakistani leadership went into panic mode. What followed were phone calls between Zardari, former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, and eventually, between General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Chief Lieutenant-General Ahmed Shuja Pasha.

Eventually, cooler heads prevailed and the call was traced to Hyderabad, but for some time, the hoax calls drove India and Pakistan to brink of war.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like a change in administration has helped Pakistan. A few days ago, Pakistan once again became the laughing stock of the world, making headlines in India, Israel, the United States, and more, when Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif read a piece of fake news and responded to it in his official status on Twitter by threatening Israel with nuclear weapons.

Perhaps, if Asif was the minister of agriculture or minister of sports, his mistake could be forgiven, but for a defense minister to threaten another nation with nuclear power over a piece of fake news is unforgivable.

Where was our defense minister’s intelligence? Does he, like other members of the government, not get briefed by security agencies? Does he do his job based on what he reads on social media?

Also, why is Pakistan so quick to speak of nuclear weapons, like the stupid unemployed man who can’t feed his family or support himself, but boasts about how well-endowed he is? Our literacy rates are low, unemployment rates are high, our government is corrupt and consisting of unofficial citizens from Panama. We can’t protect our women, children, or minorities, yet we can surely bomb your country to regress to our levels.

We are so quick to mock Donald Trump even though we have a Trump on every street corner. No wonder Trump said “he loves Pakistan” in that viral video. After all, he has plenty in common with our own leadership.
